Exactly, it's not about whether Favre gives the Packers a better shot at winning. He probably does, but they have to find out if Rodgers can play. At some point the Packers have to go in a different direction. Are they just suppose to wait for Favre to have such a bad season that it will be ok with everyone to finally move on? That would be very poor management. Sure Rodgers or whatever QB ends up being the starter will go through groing pains, but you don't want them going through them in their
4th or 5th year in the league.
When Favre retired the Packers went in a different direction and I applaude them for not caving in to a very difficult situation. But they do need to release or trade him as soon as possible.
