Lombardi's Party is back, which means football is back, thank god. Although I do not think I'll ever witness a better season than last year.
This Sunday at noon I'll be holding the Draft Lottery. This is just the lottery, the actual draft will be in 2 weeks. This is not mandatory but it'll be fun. BBQ and V-Ball just like last time.
We'll also discuss some possible rule changes or additions we can add to the league.

Where is the draft? and what time?
Party time, excellent!
I'd like to make a suggestion to implement going forward.
Next years draft order is determined by this season's final standings.
This way we can reward the winners and it gives motivation for the basement dwellars like JW and the Goat to remain competitive during the 2nd half of the season.
Even if a team is essentially eliminated from playoff contention at some point, they still have a reason to compete the final few weeks. By keeping everyone competitive from the start till the finish the entire league benefits and hopefully the bottom teams can work to move up in the draft rather than tank meaningful games to the rest of us or simply partake in "questionable" trades since their final few games don't mean much.
As director of League Competition I would like to nominate this rule change and I hope I can count on all of your votes. This is a Win-Win for all.
The Lottery will be just like the NBA. The last place team will have the most balls in the machine but it in no way assures a high pick.
Also this year there will be an earlier trade deadline and incentives for non playoff teams to still win the consolation round. We'll talk about and vote on all of this stuff this weekend.
So far the draft is scheduled for Aug 16 at 1pm. I guess we'll discuss if that's okay or if we need to change it at the game this weekend.

Koko, August 16th is a Saturday? I will be in Boca. Seems like a good time. Not sure how long I would be able to stay by the computer.
