Well, By now it is well publicized that A-Rod's wife has filed for divorce among allegations of infidelity by Stray-Rod and maybe even a torrid love affair by Cynthia with Lenny Kravitz. But I just couldn't get over how this story is unfolding.

Apparently, A-Rod's Wife is claiming Madonna "brainwashed" him by using her special Jewish Kaballah Powers. According to a story:

"Mrs Rodriguez has privately insisted to friends that she believes the singer beguiled her husband by introducing him to the mystical Jewish teachings of kabbalah – which preaches fulfilment in this life as the key to spiritual heaven. This forced A-Rod to arrive 10 minutes before the birth of their 2nd child and left a few hours later to fly back to New York. I feel like Madonna is using mind control over him," Cynthia Rodriguez was reported as saying.

Hmm......A-Rod can be brainwashed? I know he sees a shrink but what does this say for the Yanks playoff chances if they are resting on A-Rod carrying them to a huge second half just to back into the playoffs. While this is a bizarre story that has everything a newspaper editors dreams are made of, I still think it has a significant impact on the Yankees season.

Either this will be the seminal moment when A-Rod says "Screw it" I just don't care what people think of me anymore and just starts playing ball like a mad man, or he succumbs to all the media pressures and wilts down the stretch.....my guess is for the latter but I guess only time will tell.
