With Training Camps opening up this week for some NFL clubs I thought it would be interesting to get a little NFL chatter that doesn't revolve around Brett Favre. Are our resident Giant's fans happy to Kiss Jeremy 'Douchebag" Shockey goodbye for some draft picks next year? Why didn't they pull the trigger on this before this year's draft? Will Shockey get drafted about 2 rounds too high in this years fantasy draft again? No one was better at dropping a pass, and then standing around like an idiot and acting shocked at having dropped a pass. "Brah, I can't believe I dropped that pass! Or will he be sorely missed?
Also, with the Fins trading Jason Taylor that leaves none other than Ricky Williams as the team veteran and longest tenured Dolphin. That is sad. I truly beleive the Fins are about 1 or 2 injuries away from possibly breaking their record of putridity last year and maybe finally claiming the prize for quite possible the worst team in the history of the NFL.
Lastly, Will the Patriots bounce back from last year's shocking Superbowl loss like a scorned ex-girlfriend and let it consume her life so bad that she gains 15 lbs and is a crazy lunatic that nobody wants to date. Or will they hit the gym lose 10 lbs and use that anger to become smoking hot and drive every man bonkers?

I didn't want Shockey to go because he spreads out the offense and obviously the Giants did not want him to go either or they would have done this deal before the draft. But lately Shockey has become even more difficult to deal with, ranting and raving just beacause the Giant's front office picked up a call from the Saint's.
If he stays healthy he could be a great addition to the Saints offense. And the Giants will be fine with Boss.
The Dolphins were smart to trade Taylor. They are at least 2-3 years away from being really competative so why not at least get some draft picks to help you get there a little quicker.
Keeping Taylor would have been a waste of both the player and team's time.
Don't try and make us dolphin fans as sad as you keith, bottom line is your idol no longer will be wearing GB jersey and would welcome playing for a division rival in Minnesota, that is sad.
The Dolphins will be back this year !

As far as I know all the usual suspects are in and I think Rich wants in too so we'll need another team to even it out. Either that or everyone can have a bye week.
I'm sure Rob would be willing to join but he kind of makes me nervous as I think he might take our money.
We could also invite JW....oh that's right he was in the league last year.....he was just known as a bye week.
But, I think we could get an extra man to even it out rather than to have a bye week.

Bye, bye Shockey. Its a great move, but like Koko said, should have been done before the draft so the Giants could use the picks this year. The dolphins will still suck and I'm down for Fantasy Football. Later dudes.

I think it would be great if we had Ricky back on the team. I already have his jersey.
We will be having a Draft Lottery very soon at my place as I have a very cool program to determine the order fairly. We will also go over rule changes and money/prizes.
Also, we will have a Vollyball rematch where I will stuff Rich once again, and not the way he likes either.
Bring it on fucker!!!Our rematch might have to wait a couple of weeks, I think I have a partial tear or really bad strain in my calf. Might not be able to play Friday.

I definately want to play fantasy football because I think that I have to drop one of my Milwaukee leagues. You guys don't have to worry, I usually finish in the middle of the pack in my leagues but it is fun. Please let me in. I need Florida connections.

Yeah, I love it with 14 teams it is going to be quite a battle for those Tuesday morning free-agent pick-ups. No Funny Business Koko.
Do you think if Favre is not officially on a team come draft time he will still be drafted and stockpiled just in case?????
A suggested format for a 14 person league.
-2 - 7 team divisions
-a 13 game schedule (you play everyone once)
- the top three teams from each division make the playoffs
- each league champ gets a bye in round 1 or week 14.
- semis week 15
-finals week 16
- no money for 5th or 6th place
- this way more people make the playoffs but it still rewards the teams with the best records
