- The Ringling Bros. and Lebron James Circus:
NO ONE KNOWS ANYTHING!!! Secret meetings, denial of secret meetings, World Wide West, Stephen A. Smith guarantees he's going to New York, Stephen A. Smith guarantees he's going to Miami, and a partridge in a crazy tree.
In the end, he'll probably just sign a 3-year deal in Cleveland.
- Strasburg in the All-Star Game
If you're going to hijack something as important as home-field advantage in the World Series, then you don't get to judge managers for taking the very best players available. Most likely the manager of an All-Star team has his team in contention for the playoffs this year. Of course they want to win so they can have home field in the World Series, so why not pick the best players to do so? Strasburg definitely belongs in the game, end of story.
-He's the best, GAME OVER!
Yet another album that debuts at number 1. Okay, time to face facts. It's not an accident. I think it is safe to now say this guy is pretty good. No more arguments of whether he belongs in the top 10, just where he places in it. And for my money, it's #1. This album is his best since The Eminem Show and it may even be his second best album overall.
- Obama is not a super hero
What do you want this man to do? Where was this outrage from the right when Bush did nothing while New Orleans was sinking into the ocean? Which by the way was an actual disaster that we had contingency plans in place for. They just weren't used properly or better yet, not at all.
What plan was Obama suppose to put into action when the oil rig exploded? The Aquaman Initiative? There are no plan B's, no fail-safes, no government protocol for this oil spill. Everything is being done on the fly. Do you know why? Because companies like BP have been deregulated down to the honor system. And we all know how much honor there is in big business. Also, please take note. Obama is not a king or a dictator. He does not have an Obama wand to make people do what he wants. I wish he did. I wish Harry Potter would loan Obama his wand just for a few days since he sucks with it anyway. What he can do, he is and has been doing since the beginning. Making sure BP is held accountable and pays for every single penny of the cleanup.
Case in point, Obama tried to get 30 of the over 2000 oil rigs we have in and around the gulf to stop drilling. Only about 30 rigs are actually used to drill the mile deep holes. All Obama wanted to do was stop the drills, not the extraction and production of oil, just the fucking drills. And not forever, just until we get this spill under control and new fail-safes in place. Now once again, he's not a king. He can't just command it, he has to go through the Louisiana courts. So what happens? The courts denied it and then republicans throw another rally of lies, calling out Obama for trying to throw all the oil workers to the unemployment line, when he only wanted to stop 30 of the god damn drilling rigs temporarily.
Why? No really I'm asking, why. Why would we want to keep the same processes in place when something like this could happen again, why would we not want to make sure every rig has new fail-safes in place? Why wouldn't everyone want that? Oh I know why, because this country was bought and paid for a long, long time ago. Evolution of the country or even the human race is not the goal. It's all about the green pieces of paper. That's all we care about. That's our real king, our real god, our real motivation for everything. It's pathetic and as far as the human race has come, as a whole, we are still small-minded beings.

Happy birthday Koko . nice rant.
It's an exciting time to be a Miami Heat fan. If lebron is smart he teams up with the best option in Wade and they win multiple titles.
I personally wouls rather go against the big three of wade/bron/bosh and just get get bron and wade and build a better defensive minded team and shooters with the rest of the millions we still would have after signing both.
Ems new album is very good , just heard it for the first time yesterday. He got away more from the silly comedy pop shit that I wasnt feeling.
Top ten no doubt , but like his peers and most everyone on this dojo , hes in the top ten but not.1
I agree strasburg has been excellent and we can all agree this guy is gonna be lights out , but to earn a all star game you have to have a bigger body of work than 4 games.
Hell theres guys who tore it up for 8 starts that would be laughed at for being selected.
The oil crisis Obama's fault ?
I laugh at that silly shit.
This guy overall hasnt come as correct as he should bit it has a lot to do with the limitations put on by those who actually think the direction we were going was positive.
He needs to attack everything that was de-regulated now in order for real change !
Thanks Diggles.
If the Heat get Lebron, I and the rest of New York will hate that fucker for life.
I HATE THE HEAT! Both the team and the weather.
You can argue all day who's actually the greatest of all time, but I'm sure there are pleanty of people in the business that think Em is the best. And many would never publically admit it.
I agree Strasburg has NOT earned a spot on the All-Star team, but that is a side effect to the video game style reward system Bud put in place. If you're going to give the game absurd importance, you cannot defend absurd consequences. Like picking a guy with a handful of starts. If I'm the nationl league manager, theres no way I can pick 10 or 12 guys better than Strasburg to help me win. And that's what the MLB wanted, an importance on winning the game. Well they got it. Now live with it.
And yes I also agree, Obama is very limited by government on the change he can really make, but at the same time he does need to push even harder.
Ah Yes...Happy Birthday Koko!
Lebron is not going to Miami. If you believe that Juan I have some great Season Tickets to the heat I can sell you along with some great beachfront property.
That's all these rumors are is to sell tickets and get free marketin for Lebron. Shit...the Bulls sold 1800 season tix after an article ran in the Tribune that Lebron was coming to Chicago......thus Miami did the same thing. And people fall for it all the time.
Strasburg......relax guys.....it's called the All STAR Game!!! Strasburg is THE biggest star in MLB right now.......he sells out stadiums. Name me many other players that are on shitty teams that can do that all by themselves. And.....if something is on the line like home field advantage.....that coach better be taking Strasburg over some douche that is 7-5 but has pitched in a few more games. Plus, once again.....it's what the FANS want..........and you can't contradict that because the fans tell you so by buying the tickets to every one of his games!
As for Obama.....Heavy is the Head that wears the Crown. Of course he has to take some heat. Is it his fault....of course not....but it is a national travesty and he is in charge. It's the natural order of things.
Sometimes you have to make choices.......and when you do you can only please half the people and the other half are going to criticize you.
And...in our 24 hour media life people are going to complain about the president...it's what sells.
Cant wait for the Mini Burgers!
Wow, I can't really argue with anything you said Keith.
That's it! No more trips back to Wisconsin for you, it mellows you out too much.
Now get back into form and Big Fish something completely outrageous!
Oh....By the way....You can add Billy Martin to the list of all time Brewers/Braves greats. And it is official Hank Aaron is an all time great Brewer.
His number is retired by the Crew and there is a statue in front of Miller Park......Home of the Brewers!
There you go! Now you've got your crazy back.
Happy Birthday Hot Koko!!!
peace, I'm out!
Nobody has sold me shit keith.
Ive been saying this for years and you know it !
The fact ticket sales may be going up is the fact tha both those teams , regardless of who gets Lebron are gonna improve ten fold with the capacity of space they have created along with the pairing of another superstar.
And if its such a ploy for ticket sales , tell me what the Cleveland fans are thinking about when commiting there money to that organization if Lebron leaves???
Im not saying it's a guarantee to land Lebron in Miami ,but im excited that we have a great chance, and if not im still excited of worst case scenario team of wade/johson/boozer.
Put talent next to Wade and we seen what happens.
Cmon I know your excited about the Bucks landing Chris Douglas Roberts , and the well paid Corey Maggette.
Send your get well cards to Andrew Bogut inthe hospital and pray for a speedy recovery !
Just wait the Bucks will have one of the best big man/PG combo's in the league with Bogut and Jennings.
After that......huh.....I will now light myself on fire and wait till the Packers win the Super Bowl again!
But.....you have the Big Fish guarantee there is no way the Heat land Lebron. They will land some top talent.....but not Lebron.
By the way.....I hate Maggette....Brutal
Stras has been lights out but he doesnt have the complete body of work to back him for the A-S Game. If he'd been at the Majors since Day 1 then there'd be no doubt that he would be in the game.
Nat's defense let him down on Monday vs the Braves. In the 7th inning with the score tied at zero (were they playing soccer?) the Nats (lack of) D gave the Braves 7 outs, which the Braves turned into 5 runs. The SS botched a double play ball. Chipper was on 2nd and shielded the SS from cleanly seeing the ball by hesitating in front of the grounder before running to 3rd base. The 3rd baseman missed a grounder. The relieving pitcher bobbled a bunt. 3 missed grounders that stayed in the infield caused 5 runs. I was laughing by the end of the inning as I rooted on my Braves!
Haven't heard Em's album so can't comment on it, but he's damn good.
While in Nawlins this past weekend I high fived a woman wearing a "Phuck BP" shirt on Bourbon St.
Oh, and Happy Birthday Koko!
Keith, Bucks recieved a (high priced) scorer in Maggette but he doesn't play defense. Good luck with that. Is Salmons going to stay in Mil?
Magette, he's still alive, playing ball?...I'm with Juan on the Lebron topic (of course I am-GO HEAT!). Will it happen, who knows. I am just glad that all the morons like Juan and I were talking this nonsense long, long ago. I am also glad that whether it goes down or not, the Heat are not the dark horse in the Lebron race, like everyone else thought. Never doubt a guy like Riley who loves b-ball and has so much money and control to put together basketball puzzles.
Phuck BeePee!
That's the point though Sean, the body of work is negated because MLB in their infinite wisdom decided to make it all about winning. Home field advantage is pretty fucking important in the World Series, especially in the 2-3-2 format. It forces managers to take the best players to win the game, regardless if they've earned it or not.
That's the consequence of what the MLB did. If I'm rooting for a National League contender, I sure as hell want Stras on the team to try and get home field.
As a Yankee fan, I'll be happy if he's left off.
The sanctity of this game vanished a long time ago. With each fan getting 25 votes online, it's nothing more than a popularity contest and no one is more popular than Stras right now.
What!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Bush got murdered for the way he handled hurricane Katrina. Obama is a fucking bum. He deserves more bad publicity. Walking down the beach with Crist is doing much in the gulf. Lets make it happen before I have to move out of the west coast.
Fuck Lebron.
Go Strasburg!
Fuck Eminem and his blonde hair.
Happy Birthday Koko!
Thanks Rich.
Yeah, he got critisized by the left. I wrote, why didn't the right speak up as well.
And come on Rich, I know you don't follow this stuff at all. You just like to shout. Maybe you and Mikey should join the Tea Baggers. You're already experts on the act, why not join the club as well?
Happy day after your Birthday Koko!!
Every fan will want to see Stras pitch against the AL's best bats. He could be 0-4 with a ton of strikeouts had he not started his career pitching against the Pittburgh Pie Eaters and the Cleveland Cupcakes.
