This movie has been in production for quite a while. They've had several script changes and their original director/Kato walked out because of creative differences.
Looks like they've kept it light, which is appropriate for this character, and although Seth Rogan is not the prototypical hero type, his slacker personality fits the character for this generation. Especially since Kato was always the guy who did all the work anyway.

Nice post Koko.....I gotta say, Seth Rogen gets skinny then gets action role...I am skeptical, but I am in. I like the Bruce Lee look-a-like and the classic car (a GTO?). But I do hope that Cameron Diaz has the exact same time in the movie as she did in the preview.
It's actually Seth Rogan's project. He co-wrote the script and sold it to the studio when he was still heavy with a promise that he would lose a ton of weight by the time shooting started.
Looks like he kept his word.
I'm not a huge Cameron Diaz fan either, hopefully she's just a secondary character.
I hope it's as good as the preview makes it look.
