We learned last week that we live in a different society one that is in the midst of a massive self correction. For too long people have behaved irresponsibly and were seemingly rewarded for it.
Greedy bankers, juicing ball players, petulant Stars, Corrupt Politicians, Arrogant Softball teams, Etc. Etc……The list can go on and on.
But now our society seems to be in a cleansing of these evils….or so I hope. Turbulence and pain is so often the starting point for something better. The Randy Moss dilemma seems to be another great example of Karma coming full circle. If you look into it Brett Favre’s break-up with the Green Bay Packers all started because the team did not want to bring on Randy Moss and his petulant attitude to disrupt the team. However, this is the move that ultimately lead to Brett Favre leaving the team and leaving behind such a great legacy. For What?
Look ahead to this season…….the Great Favre that was always excused from any situation finds himself in an in-excusable one with Jenn Sterger. Then he gets his wish of landing Randy Moss……..which ultimately is the final straw to break the camel’s back when he goes down in flames and is literally carried off on a cart.
Well, it looks like we might not have to endure this with Jeter and the Yanks. Maybe Jeter after all does not have an evil karma cloud hanging over him. Much to the chagrin of our group they might think I am a Yankee hater which is quite the opposite.
I have written many times that I admire the Yankee organization but just think it is an unfair practice in MLB…….even though Koko and now Scott might not believe me. Reports are that the Yankees have a Cuban Defector and a Venezuelan SS in their sights to replace Jeter whom is obviously losing a step every year he ages. Then, they hope to move A-Rod to DH and kindly move Jeter over to the 3rd. Glad we can all rest easily now knowing there won’t be a Favrarin controversy seeing Jeter play out his days in a Tigers, Royals, or even Worse a Red Sox uniform.
Well, let’s see if my theory on self-correction plays out and if Alan Grayson and others get ousted from office today. Oh and in case you didn’t hear…..The Cobra Kai beat the Sharks…The Kai Beat the Sharks!!!!

The fact that you even put Jeter's name in the same sentence with Brett Favre just proves that you have no clue.
Jeter is the epitome, the gold standard, the highest eschelon of what a star athlete and first ballot hall of famer should be.
And I don't know where you get your Yankees news from but I'm sure it's someone else who shares your so painfully obvious disdain for them.
The Yankees best option for shortstop next year is still Derek Jeter. He would also be most MLB teams best option at the position and he will bounce back to his normal .300 level batting average next season.
As for his fielding he had the lowest number of errors at his position in 2010 and is yet again a gold glove candidate.
And do you really think it's shocking news that the Yankees have shortstops in their minor league system? Last time I checked every team has every position in their systems. If they didn't you would once again disparage them for not having talent in the minors. And just for the record the Yankees minor league system is one of the highest ranked.
It's all about the Yankees? I can't make any deeper philosophical comment without you guys breaking down and defnending the Yankees.
People are usually most defensive about things they are insecure about.....maybe you are worried about Jeter???
You are the most passive agressive douche I've ever met.
How about you not being able to make any point at all without bringing up the Yankees in the first place.
You write these "insightful," pieces and you can't help yourself to always take some kind of illogical pot shot at the Yankees. And as long as you spew inaccuracies, I will correct you.
Now don't forget to go out today and vote back into power all of the people that were doing such a great job 2 years ago so they can resume their END OF THE WORLD plan.
Ironic you're taking a stance against Evil Empires.
You do realize that Lucas was taking a direct shot at the republican congress in Episode III.
You Fucking guys are hilarious!
Blasphemy!!
Pre- Jets/Vikings Favre completely destroys any accomplishments that Derek (I am really a homo, but date hot chicks, but don't marry them as a cover) Jeter.
If you went to any mcDonalds in the state of Wisconsin between 1992-2007, you would see every single kid with a Favre jersey on. The packers in Wisconsin are way more passionate than any yankees fan.
Take a look at Jersey sales. favre was always number 1 or 2. Even now after he has completely ruined his rep, his jersey sales are still through the roof. He was by far the most popular player in the most popular sport.
Koko, don't even compare the 2. Favre on any team makes them an instant contender (see Jets, New York, prior to his arrival). Put Jeter on an average team and they are still average.
Regs that was so incredulous and an obvious attempt at stirring the pot, that I'm not even going to respond.
Come on man, bring something that at least has a shred of believability to it.
I am talking popularity of 2 athletes, prior to the Jets/Viqueens days. Take a look and research how popular the name Brett was in Wisconsin over the last 15 years. Every person in the state idolized him to the point where they were naming their children after him.
Everyone gets old and Jeter will too. The question is, will the Yankees have the guts to do what the Packers did and let him make a complete fool out of himself somewhere else. Unlike Favre, hopefully Jeter will know when it is time so he can go out on top.
Get your 3000 and bow out gracefully, with class.
I'm love how you compare the population of 5 million in Wisconsin to the 20 million in New York. And it's not a positive attribute that people are such sycophants that they actually name their kids after a sports star.
Also I'm really sure Jeter appreciates your advice. For some weird reason I trust his judgement on ALL things just a little bit more than Favre's.
Call me crazy.
