Is everybody down with changing the scoring to a decimal point system this year as to avoid ties and maximize points?...

I think its stupid!

I'm open to new thoughts...but I think you will have to expound on what the decimal system actually is?

Koko Or Johnny....what exactly does this system entail?????

Koko said...

Goat thinks everything is stupid.

It will serve us very well. Here's how it works:

It only affects the scoring of RB and QB points.

Now in the past we got 1 point for every 10 rushing yards and 1 point for every 25 passing yards.

With this new system we will get credit for the unused yards from our QB's and RB's that go to waste and simultaneously helping to prevent all the ties we've been having.

Usually if your RB ran for 75 yards, you would get 7 points. Under the new system, you would get 7.5 points. Every yard your RB gets would equal 0.1 points.

For QB's it's a little more complicated but not much. Every 5 passing yards equal 0.2 points. So you're still getting 1 point for every 25 passing yards, but if your QB throws for 265 yards you would get 10.6 points instead of just the 10 points for the 250 yard threshold.

Ties suck, because then we have to go to tiebreakers which are not the greatest barometer, especially if a pair of teams have only met once in the season. I'd much rather have a match decided on my players inching out a couple of extra yards that they earned than the match being decided by tiebreakers.

What say you?

I know, I know Goat. Math is for homos. Just trust me on this one ok?

This Sounds great to me......I'm always a fan of more scoring.......as long as it does not get more complicated.

This is kind of like juicing....but legally????

I think your stupid! and a homo! See if you can make it a little more complicatd to figure out the scores! How about we make touchdowns worth the equivalent of pie (3.14) now. We should have a vote on it, why do u just get too change things?

Koko said...

This is the vote numnuts. Who said it's changed? So far it's 3-1.

Keep it up and I'll make it so complicated you'll be using an abacus to calculate your defensive points.

where does it say this is the vote? You have to tell people that! Remember we don't all live in your make believe world where your king shit! I vote NO!

Koko said...

I don't want to be King Shit. Sounds like a CRAPPY job. Get it? Crappy? AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH
. . . KNEE SLAPPER!!!

I guess the original post that asks whether everyone is down for the new scoring was not clear enough. Remember, question marks usually mean the person is inquiring on a thought or opinion.

I was also brilliant enought to figure out that you were against it from your very well thought out and articulate "I think it's stupid" comment.

I don’t even play in what is clearly your slight homoerotic fantasy…….league. But I have to say that a decimal system makes undeniable sense in a blog that already has thin strands a sense running through it. And Koko, please keep up the insults, your colorful quips are the only thing that make the Dojo interesting. Well that and the terrible taste GOAT has in his rankings. Cornhole anyone? Stated as a question…

Maybe you should watch your mouth seeing as I grew up/know everything about you and maybe something slips out that your little friends would never let you live down! Lucky I'm such a nice person! Keep it up J*** B**

speaking of homoerotic what straight man says "colorful quips"?

The Swami said...

Swami Sayz:
Since we are on the subject of “straight man” is it? I thought it odd, and it always bothered me a little, that out of the five “Hottest Chicks in Entertainment”, you rank a very boyish looking Mila Kunis number two on your list. And I digress as I release a little secret to you: those boobahs are airbrushed in… Oh no, I hope I didn’t ruin your hairy palm late nights. And who said I was straight? Are you hitting on me GOAT?

Koko said...

What is J*** B**?

Jew Boy? But there's too many * after the J. I don't know. I give up, I totally suck at Wheel of Fortune.

Oh by the way that whole, you grew up with me and know stuff thing. There's dutch-door action on that bro.

He is right though Swami, "colorful quips" is pretty gay.

Swami Sayz:
Alright, it appears that this Dojo does not appreciate the fine colloquial jests of the Swami. Noted as such. But to base the aforementioned judgment of sexual orientation on said words is appalling. Maybe we are doomed to live out Mike Judge’s 2006 eye opening, frightening and apocalyptic vision of the future. Maybe Brawndo is all we need; it’s got electrolytes.

Anonymous said...

No its not dutch door action cause i don't see these people everyday! You do! I could give a shit! You really can't figure out what that is? Here's a hint: candy. Mila Kunis is boyish looking? Now I know your an ass pirate! Are you crazy? Of course there airbrushed! Thanks captain obvious!

Is Santa fake? Does the tooth fairy not exist? Did Jesus not rise from the dead? Please tell me these are not all lies also Swampi!

Koko said...

Oh I got it. You're missing a J though, that's why I couldn't figure it out. Whatever dude, what the hell are we arguing about anyway? I got your vote. But why wouldn't you want all the points from the RB's and QB's that they earn?

And Swami, Mila Kunis is wayyyyyy hot. You can't be serious on that one.

oh and i looked on the lombardi party site and you did already change it! DIDN"T U! Dirty Jew!

Anonymous said...

cause you know i suck at math and its gonna make it hard to figure points out!

The Swami and Johnny Bee-Bop on the Dojo together ?
Pass that tiny bowl over here.
For now my vote is no.
I think it is a great idead to rule out ties but unless you include wr's yards it creates an unfair advantage and creates much more value to rb's and qb's than a wr.
NO MEANS NO KOKO , I HAVE TOLD YOU MIKE AND RICH BEFORE !

Koko said...

Well it can be applied to WR's too if that's what we want. I make every receiving yard worth 0.1 as well. Actually, if we do RB's and QB's we really should make receiving yards the same.

New vote, all receiving yards and passing yards will have decimal scoring. What say you now Juan?

Goat, yes I did change it only because I wanted to see if it was even possible. It can be changed back just as easy. We'll have to take a final vote at the draft.

Johnny said...

I can understand change is hard for all you guys, but change is for the better. There really can't be more misunderstanding about the scoring. Most other leagues have that type of scoring. It's about logic and common sense, not confusion.

Rich said...

I vote yes. RB, QB, WR

Will it include tightends?

No means yes bitches!

Double S said...

I vote yes. Thanks to Juan for bringing up the WR aspect. It has to be set as recieving yards also so all players (RB, WR, TE, QB if they happen to catch a pass) get the credit they deserve for every yard they get. .1 per yard is the new black...only you kids are late to the party. I've been using that scoring in every league I've been in for bout 8 years now.

Koko said...

Ok, looking like everyone's getting on board for this. Yes it will be applied to both WR's and TE's receiving stats.

We will still take a final vote at the draft so everyone can get a word in.

Double S said...

We have to have the vote done prior to the draft b/c PPR changes the values of players.

Johnny said...

This isn't a points per reception league, just using every possible point earned..if a wr catches a pass for no gain then there are no points..

Double S said...

Oh yeah Johnny, I'm just used to playing in PPR leagues.
