If anyone saw the first Joe Buck Live and was actually able to make it through the entire show, you know that the only entertaining thing on the show was Artie Lange trying his best to make Joe Buck watchable. Buck is an amazing bore and for some reason thinks he's actually funny. If not for Artie, no one would even be talking about this show today.

was buck being a prick to artie or was he kidding around? I couldn't tell? I don't get what the premise of that segment even was? Buck had no actual questions. Yankee hating doosh!
Buck is unwatchable. Artie said today that Buck said "let me have it," before the segment started. I think he was trying to do the Letterman thing of acting disgusted, but he can't pull it off because he has no comedic timing at all.
Also, Artie said the producers of the show told him if the segment gets boring, that he should just go wild. Now they are condemning his performance. Artie said they can all go fuck themselves.
Michael Irvin seemed to get a kick out of it.
Even if your cable package went out last night, you've probably heard about the rather tepid debut of "Joe Buck Live." Tepid, until Howard Stern joke monkey Artie Lange destroyed everything Joe Buck holds dear on live television.

That was great......I think Buck originally wanted Artie to get wild but he didn't think he would make fun of his show.
Plus, when it gets' going in that direction How does Buck try to ignore it and talk to Paul Ruud about the good ol days and how they miss each other????

in defense of joe buck, he is trying to keep with the respectability of HBO at its high level. At the same time on hbo 2 is "Pimps Up Ho's Down", on hbo 3 is "Real Sex" and on hbo 4 is "Autopsy 6"

As much as the show blew , they hit on what a raunchy sports show could work on a hbo/showtime format. A sports show with artie Lang hosting with guests like Charles Barkley, mike irvin etc....much better than the cheesy best damn sports blow! Artie Lang actually knows sports . Let's pitch it to hbo guys.LOL
That was great!! Here's another thought. Was that the first episode? Maybe they had Artie on the show to go off to get publicity for the show. I hadn't heard of it, but now its everywhere. Of course Artie is going to get the blame for his antics b/c it was his mouth. I agree that Buck sucks. Costas sometimes comes off as a smug prick also.

Every Sports Talk Show I listened to was talking about the Joe Buck show. He got more press from this incident than he could have ever dreamed of. Great idea by his publicist.....I'm sure they wanted Artie to go off...but not to that extreme...but regardless Alot more people will tune in to the Joe Buck Show then ever will next week....primarily cause Arite put him on the map.
Even My Dad called me to ask if I watched that Fat guy who was loud and obnoxious on the Joe Buck show.......He has no idea who Artie is but now he knows about the Joe Buck Show.......On HBO Monday nights airing at 8!!!!

I think Artie saw Joe Buck for who he is. A talentless fuck who has been handed everything on a silver platter and actually thinks he is the next Bob Costas. Nothing could be further from the truth. Artie hates those preppy, stuck up snobs that think they are above everyone else. Buck should just accept who he is, a mediocre play by play man for football.
