Can You Name this Actor

Posted by Keith G.

Update.....Koko was right on the money! I don't know how you got that so quickly but I must say I am impressed. A pink Cosmo for you this Friday

The first person to name this actor wins a healthy round of shots Friday night. The answer will astound you, but as a hint he stars in one of the movies mentioned in the newest article printed hot off the Greivelwire on the right about Sports movies dying genre.

Let the guessing begin.........My money is on Koko or Prosthetic Johnson but even this one might be too hard for them.

Ron Lester, Billy Bob from Varsity Blues. He had that gastric bypass surgery.

Ok so I'd like a whiskey sour shot with a hint of lime please. Nah fuck that I'll take a Jager bitch. No tequilla though.

Also, the guy that wrote that article about sports movies dying is a real jerk off. His article sucks and his taste in movies sucks more.

How can you say Cinderella Man is not rewatchable. Anytime it's on I have to watch it through. It is easily the best boxing movie ever made, all do respect to the Rocky movies but you can't beat the realism of Cinderella Man.

And another thing, when you purchase a ticket to a Will Ferrel movie and are then disapointed when the content is flimsy and his character portrayal is the same as his other films, then you sir are a tremendous douche bag. I saw Semi-Pro and it was funny. I laughed my ass off just as I expected to. That's it, that's all, the movie did it's job. Ferrel plays the same character in every movie he's in and it works for him. In fact, if you went to see one of his movies and he wasn't playing that same over-confident, socialy retarted dufus, you would say, "what the hell is this shit."

And anyone who doesn't think Any Given Sunday isn't the best football movie ever made can just go ahead and sprinkle some anthrax on their cheerios.

I'm still trying to figure who the fuck that guy is,but I would like to make some comments about Koko's remarks about Bill Simmons and his movie picks.

Bill is actually a funny guy and brilliant writer. However he is still hurt from his Patriots. Sorry Mikey. Anyways Cinderella Man was pretty good, but not the best boxing movie. I liked Raging Bull. Deniero and Pesci in ANY movie is a classic.

If anything, I think Bill missed it with the remake of The Longest Yard. Of course the originals need to get their respectful props, but the New Longest Yard was funny as shit!! Tell me something different.

I agree Raging Bull was an excellent movie, but the boxing sequences were not exactly stellar. Much like the Rocky movies, there was a complete lack of defense and the technical aspect of the sport was not really paid attention to. That movie's legs are it's actors and cinematography.

Cindarella Man really shows great technical boxing scenes. The acting is amazing and in the final fight when Braddock sees Baer coming at him with that overhand right, and he flashes back to the film reel to avoid the death blow; that rivals any moment from Rocky.

Are you sure that isn't the guy Billy Boba ate?

Good point! Speaking of Cinderella Man, Ron Howard directed that movie. Are you aware that every movie and or television show he either produces or directs, his brother Clint Howard is in as well. For instance, in Cinderella Man, Clint Howard is the referee in a few fights. Clint Howard's biggest role was in the Wraith with Charlie Sheen. You know that black cool ass car movie that kills the gang that killed him and his girlfriend.

I do remember that movie Scott. When I was a kid it was on HBO like every other day. Yeah I know the Clint Howard thing, but the very first thing Clint Howard appeared in was a very famous episode of the original Star Trek. He was just a kid but he played an bald alien with a very deep voice.
