pitchingpitchingpitching
That Perm rocks.
Prosthetic Pinga , your a real pinga ya know.
Ya see, this is where all the Brewers great marketing minds and money goes towards. Bashing the Yankees! No wonder Keith, Reger and a few others are always talking trash. I can understand Mikey and the Redsox Nation being upset beccause the Yankees beat them continuously on a competitive basis. But come on Brewer fans put your anger somewhere else.
What anger? He was not bashing the Yankees. I think somebodys Jewish Guilt was wearing on him and caused the Perm Dude to speak out.
The Crews GM simply was making a statement on the state of baseball. He simply said the Yankees Infield had a higher payroll than the entire Brewers team. That's all he said. That is a simple statement of Fact.
If somebody thinks that is Bashing well that is their interpretation.
And it is not the Brewers organazation or other mid level markets that are the problem it is the lower level markets the Crews GM was referring to. Teams like the Royals and such that don't even have a team payroll that equals one Yankee player.
Remember the Crew gave CC the 2nd highest offer next to the Yanks.
Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Now there is Jew Bashing! How does religion come into play when talking about baseball? The Brewers are bashing the Yankees organization! You never hear any team make statements like ones from the Brewers organization. They usually say "I wish we could sign him" or "It must be nice".
Joe Maddon said this when the Yankees went on a spending spree last year.
"I figured [Teixeira] would land in our division someplace," manager Joe Maddon said. "The big names are going to normally land within the AL East. We still have to remain focused on what we are doing regardless of how the other rosters stack up. We need to control what we can and play the game our way."
The Yankees spending helps turn the fire on under the other teams tuchus!
No Religous Bashing going on just using a term I have heard You use several times but in case you would like a refresher according to Websters Dictionary:
"Jewish guilt" is also sometimes presented as the neurotic businessperson that struggles with the application of religious principles to business ethics.
The idea of Jewish guilt is sometimes linked to the Jewish concept of repentance or Teshuva. Essentially, this type of remorse is considered the first step toward repentance from taking a wrong action.
Also, Great use of the quote from the Rays manager. What would you expect him to say??? Texiera landed in our division oh well we better just give up????? His qoute is genrally referred to as a "Cliche"....something he has on a note card a PR person gave him and just tells players and coaches to say anytime they might be forced to say something negative.
"Ah yea, We just have to remain focused and work hard"
Very well said. On that note, I'm at work and have to remain focused. Until the next time.......
