D-day

Posted by J Dub

Kai faithful, I would like to apologize for my lack of involvement on the dojo. As most, if not all of you know I will be shipping out on OCT 5th, unfortunately Uncle Sam has a problem with shippers driving long distances before their ship date, thusly I will be unable to make it to Orlando before I leave.

I will not have access to a computer or a cell phone for the first few months of training, so postal service will be the only method of communication. I do not have an address as of yet, but you can send stuff to my parents in Madison if you feel so inclined and they will forward it on to me. I only ask that you do not send material of a compromising nature (gay pictures or letters confessing your love for me, Rich).

So again I would like to apologize for my poor planning in not getting down to see the Kai before I left and my lack of participation of late.

Good luck with the season!

Tuesday Morning Quick Hits

Posted by Keith G.

Why does all the media outlets say Matt Millen is a tremendous Analyst and we should forgive him for his atrocity in Detroit cause he is a really smart guy and great analyst. I think he is horrible on Monday Night Football.

It seems everything he says Steve Young and Stu Scott look at each other and think to themselves.....He's lost it. Millen looks so out of place and out of touch......maybe cause last week he was sick and was picking his nose a lot but this week he still felt awkward to watch. Am I wrong????

Also, What is the deal with David Maus? Does he try to come off as a Cheese-Dick? His commercials are my favorite cause they are the definition of cheesiness. He alwasy has some new image schtick in every single commercial. And that Monday Night commercial where he has all those fans at his house watching a make believe football game is just plain odd. There are fans in Browns Jerseys, Jets Jerseys, Bucs Jerseys,........and that Overweight Somoan dude is just plain silly. I don't even know what jersey he is wearing........and he looks like he is about to pass out sitting on the couch. And the dude in the Browns jersey actually picks his nose???? I mean....Can't he put together a better commercial than that?????

Just a few of my thoughts from Monday night........................Watch out For Justin Fargas in week 4!!!!!!

Average???

Posted by Koko

Can we stop this now please? As someone who has watched just about every game Eli has played, I've always known he was much more than an average or above average QB. However a lot of people just like to regurgitate what they hear on TV or talk radio.

Why does this guy have to keep proving himself? I know, it's an image thing. He's the little brother to the greatest QB in history (I know that's another debate, but he is). The "aw shucks" attitude. The soft spokenness. There's another guy in NY with a soft demeanor that's finally getting the nation-wide respect he deserves after 14 years, only because the evidence is now undisputable. I guess Eli will have to follow the same path as the Yankee captain for the rest of the country to fully realize just how good he is.

Oh by the way, it's only his 6th year playing. Eli is one of a handful of QB's you would want for a final drive to win the game. Any mistake he's made, forgotten. A minute left and no time outs, cool as ice. The pocket is collapsing and the defense is stretching the #10 into a #1_____0, he can get out of it.

Time for some respect, he's a Super Bowl MVP and a top tier QB, nuff said.

Travesty!!!!!

Posted by Keith G.

Strike First, Strike Hard, and No Mercy. That is our team motto and that is exactly what the Cobra Kai did this past Friday night at Red Bug Lake Field. After falling to the PHI to start the season the team was hungry for a victim to unleash on. Before the game the Swami gathered the troops and told them to play like the Cobra Kai’s are capable of and follow our motto and forget about last week.

Well, the team took that literally and jumped out to a 7 run lead in the first inning as we batted through the order and the runs started to mount. “I wore my Punisher underoos this game cause the team needed to punish someone after last week” Koko said after the game. Capt. Tucci tried to clot the bleeding for the Intimidated Intimidators by asking Koko to take off his punisher underoos and telling the team to ease up a bit after we posted a 14-1 lead in the 2nd inning.
However, the wiley veteran Spragues still reeling from Mad Dog’s ducking of the PHI to preserve his ERA cried “Travesty” and told us not to let up. “A general rule I have in life is to not make a mockery of the game and when Spragues told me to step it back up, that’s all I could do” Said Johnny Blaze. Spragues would not let the Kai ease up and even completed the play of the day picking off an Intimidator running to third whom clearly was shell shocked by the ass whooping the Kai’s were laying on his team.

On Offense the team was hitting on all cylinders. Regs was back at clean-up doing his usual damage picking up right where he left off. DonJuan jumped right back up to the league lead upping his OB% to .957 and Sully even stepped up and showed the Intimidators a thing or two on the base path. “After tasting victory so graciously the last two seasons I wanted it so bad again, that I stopped off and gave a homeless guy 2 loafs of bread on my way to the game to bring Karma the Kai’s way…..I guess it worked” Sully said after the game.

Overall, it was a total team effort as everybody contributed to the 17-2 Annihilation of the Intimidators. However, the team did post a team low 9 pitchers at Gators as everyone was saving themselves for next week.

The Kai’s will be taking the field without Capt. Tucci whom will be scouting some players in NY this week. Damaso also will not be available as he pulled a hamstring jumping up to curse out the Yankees after they got it handed to them twice by the lowly Mariners this week.

Looking forward to keeping the momentum going against the Swim N Fun at 8:30!!!

Well, we've all suspected it for quite some time, but now it's official. Kanye West is the biggest douche bag in entertainment.

And as for Brady, he's just been good at keeping his douche baggery a secret. Not any more!

Swami Sayz:

Congratulations to the 2009 Red Bug Lake Park, Solarbear Friday Night Runner-ups, the Cobra Kai Softball Club. I know that you guys fought hard, and played some good ball this past season. It must have been difficult to play on such an awkward rain schedule and on terrible field conditions. I look forward to rejoining the team this fall and helping out our ball club. Great job again Cobra Kais, and see you in a few weeks!
