This just in.......legendary QB Brett Favre is mulling retirement. He may or may not play again next year. This is unbeilavble. Brett Favre might just hang up the cleats????? No......Say it aint so.
Jets Fans enjoy the offseason of will he or won't he. However, for some strange reason I don't think Jets Fans are as excited to have Brett Come back as Packer fans were last year. The saga continues but somehow I beleive the only people that want Brett to come back is the owners cause quite frankly he sells tickets and jerseys.
I think this is the first time in history from I can recall that a teams owners truly have ticket sales and jersey sales in mind over the opportunity for a decent team to win. Let's face the Jets have some quality players and could do something............oh wait if Brett does not come back who is their QB? They got rid of Pennington............do they still have Vinny Testaverde to rely on?
Anyways, I'm doubting Brett is coming back. He had an atrocious end to his season and he didn't want to be in NY anyways. And check out what his teamates are saying about him. Does not sound like they want him back either.
Appearing on a local radio show Tuesday, Jets running back Thomas Jones said Favre should have been benched during his three-interception performance against the Dolphins on Sunday, according to The Daily News.
"We're a team and we win together ... but at the same time, you can't turn the ball over and expect to win," Jones said in the interview. "The other day, the three interceptions really hurt us. I mean, that's just reality. If I were to sit here and say, 'Oh, man, it's OK,' that's not reality.
"The reality is, you throw interceptions, I'm (ticked) off, I don't like it. You know what I'm saying? I don't like it, I know everybody else on the team doesn't like it."
"There was a lot of resentment in the room about him," the anonymous teammate told Newsday. "He never socialized with us, never went to dinner with anyone."
Resentment??? Towards Brett Favre......how can that be? I guess it would be like if we brought in a big name talent to our team and they never came to gators. But I mean he is almost 40 years old and this is not politics. How can you condemn a man for not taking out his teamates to dinner.
Well, he did get his Coach fired and another sure fire hall of famer (Bill Cowher) said he does not want to coach the Jets because of Favre.
I guess we can only wait and see how this turns out.......looks like another fun off season. What I am hoping for is a Rocky like turnaround. Where Reggie White calls to Brett Favre from beyond and he gets a calling from God to save football and New York. Then Brett goes into a rigorous off season training program with John Elway (sans Apollo training Rocky) and Brett comes back next season with a vegence. He takes his players on hunting trips and dinners at Applebee's where he wins their hearts and then they make a dramatic run to the Super Bowl to defeat the Green Bay Packers.
Cue the Rocky Music........I cant wait

Before Favre tore his biceps muscle, his team was 8-3 and he was an MVP candidate. He was the toast of New York and just got finished dismantling New England and Tennessee on the road. If anyone is to blame, it is the training staff for not realizing that Favre was injured.
When it comes to injuries, you can't just take the word of a guy that he is all right, no matter how many games in a row he's played. They should have made him get an MRI done and taken the proper measures. I watched all 16 of the Jets games this year and it was blatently obvious that he was not right physically. Let's see anyone try to throw a football with a torn Biceps muscle. I'm pretty sure it would be tough.
I hope he comes back and proves all these doubters wrong.
We need to put a limit on the Favre postings.
I dont see much difference Regs ,
Farve led the NFl in Int's and didint win the whole thing.
That's how the majority of Brett Farve seasons ended except for 1 in like 15.
It was the Waterboy coach who could not lead the 29 pro bowlers to a playoff bid.
Its just a joke of a franchise, not since Joe Namath.
JETS....SUCK- SUCK- SUCK !
The majority of everyone's seasons end with them not winning the Super Bowl. It is hard to use that as a measuring stick. I'm satisfied with at least being in it until the playoffs every year. Just because you don't win a super bowl doesnt make the season a failure. Favre was injured at the end of the year and the MRI confirmed this. That's all i'm saying.
