“MasterCraft Painting is who we thought they were; we saw them before and know they are in 2nd. The Painters are who we thought they were and that’s why we took the damn field! If you want to Crown them, then crown their ass, but they are who we thought they were and we let em off the Damn Hook!” ranted Capt. Tuuci after we let a winnable game get away from us in the last inning.

The Cobra Kai came ready to play Friday night and the bats were hot, but Mastercraft’s dojo painting technique proved to be more powerful as they were peppering blasts all over the field. They struck hard and had no mercy as they were ripping blast after blast to any open piece of field they could find. The Painters put on an impressive display at the plate placing frozen ropes out of the grasp of the infield and more impressively out of the grasp of our outfield that saw several balls hit hard all the way to the fence. “Were talking about balls mashed to dead center that were nearly clearing the fence, I haven’t seen that much before but I think their Dojo is either teaching a new “Paint the Fence” technique or they are using some type of performance enhancer” Mikey remarked after the game.

However, the Kai’s were not about to give up themselves and we put on our own impressive display at the plate to keep things even. Capt Tucci’s impressive 3 run Home Run really set the pace for the team as he came charging home and did his best Pete Rose dive into home to spark one of our biggest rallies of the year. The highlight of the night and quite possibly of the season came when Johnny Blaze came charging around 3rd base determined to make it home and due to a “Phantom leg Sweep” by their 3rd baseman he got taken to his knees halfway between 3rd and home. With blood gushing from his injured knee most players would have crawled back to 3rd and called for a pinch runner, but not Blaze with the Lady Kai’s screaming him on Johnny looked at 3rd then focused his eyes on Home plate and was determined to score. “At first I was telling him to get back to 3rd, but then when I saw he had that “Eye of the Tiger” look in his eyes I knew he was going for home” said the X-man himself Xavy who was the 3rd base coach at the time of the play.

Sensei Elliot Kreese, The Iceman Kenji, and Mad Dog did their part in wearing down the outfield for the painters by spraying the Right fielder with balls down the line all night until their coach was forced to pull him from the outfield after he cried for mercy because he was so worn down. In the end it was one of our best offensive performances of the season but there just wasn’t enough in the tank to contain the Painters bats.

The Team toasted our fine offensive effort and celebrated in style at gators afterwards but there was still a feeling of revenge on the teams mind. “The guys in the dugout played their butts off, I can’t ask for more from my teammates than that, I think we will have their number next time” said Koko at the post game press conference at gators.

With the absence of our anchor JW and the Big Daddy Rich himself as well as Rob “Roundhouse” Reger our pitcher intake took huge a dip and was well off our record setting pace. In fact we set Gators all time low with only 31 pitchers. However, the team looks to bounce back this Friday and get back in the win column as we take on Creative Floors @ 6:30 and look to also up our pitcher intake post game.
