I really don't get the need for this film. I guess Sony is just really desperate. The first two Raimi films where pretty much perfection as far as Spider-Man goes.

And I hope it's just the trailer that making this film look all "Dark Knight" but it's probably Hollywood thinking that what works for one super hero will work for another.

WRONG!!!

I just hope they don't take this path with the new Superman film.

I think making the superhero films "darker" makes them better movies and more relatable to real life in a way. Its a nice change. When they make the superhero stuff real "campy" they suck. This looks good, I like the first person view of spiderman climbing through the city. A darker Superman might be pretty cool. Don't you think "Smallville" was a darker superman story? You liked that didn't you!

It might be a good movie , just way too soon.
At least there was a decade between the Batman sagas
I cant get that dork Toby Maguire out of my brain yet

Way too early for a remake. I agree with Juan. By the way, superman is gay.

I don't think Smallville was dark at all. Smallville had some very "campy" parts to it. It was just a more updated version of the character.

Darker doesn't always mean better or more realistic, especially if it doesn't fit the character. A dark Superman film will suck. That's the complete opposite of the character. That's what Tim Burton wanted to do and if you've ever seen any of the concept art or heard Kevin Smith talk about the script, you would think Superman Returns should win an academy award.

Iron Man is a great example, that was not a dark movie at all but was absoultey perfect for the character. In fact all of the "Avenger" movies follow the same tone and it fits them very well.

It could be just the trailer though, this Spider-Man film may not be dark at all. And it may even be a good film, I just think it's way too soon for a reboot, but Sony needs to make it's money before their liscense with the character expires.

Oh and one more thing, Rich . . .

Fuck you.

They just better not ever redo "Daredevil"! Why mess with perfection!?

Too bad, they are redoing Daredevil, scheduled for 2014.

They could just film a blind guy taking a shit, and it would be a monumental improvement on the Affleck film.

No! They can't do that because i believe "Blind Guy Taking A Shit" is scheduled to be released on Christmas. If Denzel Washington did that movie it would probably be god somehow.
