So now that the fine fans of the Milwaukee Brewers were being bruised and battered by the fans of other teams, what do you have to say now after the Brewers have controlled the baseball airwaves with their shocking acquisition of one Zack Greinke.

All I hear about is how the Brewers are totally irrelevant and never do anything. What do you have to say now?

If you don't know a whole lot about Greinke, that is ok. He was only the guy who beat out the "great" CC Sabathia for the 2009 Cy Young award.

95 mph fastball, 88 mph slider, knee-buckling curve, and a devastating change-up. That gives the Brew Crew their first legit number 1 starter since the great Peter Dennis Vuckovich was mowing down batters.

Now, with a starting rotation that rivals only the Phillies of Greinke, Gallardo, Marcum, and Wolf, it is time to send Fielder off with a ring.

Reger, I'm just curious, does food taste the same in The Twilight Zone?

Because that must be where you are. Who was bruising your team? No one said a damn word about the Brewers unprovoked. It was you and Keith bashing the Yanks every chance or even fictional chance you got.

What what do I have to say now? WOOOOPPDDIII DOOOOOOOO! Your team actually does SOMETHING and you think we should bow down to you?

How about you say, "FINALLY" instead of acting like you're gonna win the Series.

Yes they have made some good moves. Which just shows how ridiculous it is every other year they didn't.

And by the way since you guys like to bring up Jeter's one bad year so often. Greinke last year was 10-14 with an ERA over 4.

Also, get a grip dude. You've improved but there's not a chance in the universe you have the second best rotation in the majors. Not even in the NL. I believe you're forgetting about a team named the Giants.

And I think you should have at least one guy that had 15 wins last year before you start thinking elite.

I give him one year before he wants a trade. Good move by the Brewers, lets see if that helps them this year. Also I'm sure C.C. would rather have a WS ring then a CY Young award.

Many people have bashed the Brewers for being irrelevent and never in the news. Now they are the top story.

If you look at the WAR stat which, according to sabermetrics, is one of the "true" indicators of how good a pitcher is. The Brewers top 4 pitchers rank 2nd to the Phillies top 4 over the last 2 years combined.

Greinke is clearly a stud who simply got fed up with always facing the other team's aces and getting no run support. His team was beyond horrible and their manager is probably the worst in the major leagues (former Brewer skipper Ned Yost).

All he needs is a change of teams to get back to his dominating self and now he has it.

Right! Awesome logic there Reger.

And the fact that the Brewers staff is ahead of the Phillies in that cyberbullshit should tell you everything you need to know about the validity of such stats.

Also, the Brewers are not the top story or even close. The Yankess not getting someone will always be a bigger story than the Brewers getting anyone.

And it's indisputable that no one has ever bashed the Brewers here without the first shot comming from you guys.

Why would I waste my time?

If you read my post, it said that the Brewers were second, to the Phillies, in WAR. The graphic that I saw on MLB Network was analyzing the top 4 projected pitchers in each rotation.

For the record, over that same time period, Greinke is number 1 in the majors. Once again, it was not his fault that he was on a shitty team that sucked in the field and at the plate.

Also, for the last 3 days, the lead story on MLB Network has been the Brewers getting Greinke and his impact.

Well the level of excitement and bravado about the move is certainly wayyyyy too much, but still...good for you guys...seriously. I'll accept it, being that stuff like this never happens with the Brewers. Can't really use the phrase "Act like you've been there before", because ya haven't really. So again...good for you guys.

Welcome to Major League Baseball. See how that works now? Easier then it looks huh? You guys might win 5....maybe 6 more games this year! FANTASTIC!

And look how excited you are! Took a few days for a post about it......and there probably would have been more interest from our resident Brewer fans along with a post up the very next day if the Yanks had signed Greinke, bashing the move.....but still, well done!

The only way Fielder is getting a ring this year is if he finds a "decoder ring" in one of the million Cracker Jack boxes he undoubtedly eats throughout the season.

Now the way it works is you take that new revenue from jersey, merchandise, and ticket sales which have all increased since the signing and put it back into your team.....NOT YOUR POCKET......YOUR TEAM!

But that probably won't happen. Unfortunatley the owner will take the money, trade or Grienke in 3 years to a bigger market (for nothing) or just let him go, and blame the Yankees.

I need a Keith fist pump now to make my day complete.
I have a friend who ran a call on Greinke years ago when he had really bad depression. He is from aPOOPka.

Yeah he has a really bad anxiety disorder too. Which is why he blocked trades to any big-market team. It's amazing he's able to even take the mound at all with a condition like that.

Plus I was surprised to hear how his teammates on the Royals were glad to see him go.

How often does a cy young winner get traded? This is huge for a small market team. we are talking about starting Randy Wolf as a number 4. That is light years ahead of Segio Mitre. Buster olney and Harold reynolds have the bres crew ahead of the yankees. eat that $200 plus million.

Who is Randy Wolf?
