What up Kais? Remember the party I tried to get all of you to go to last year after the draft? It happened again. It falls on the same day!
(Any way we can do the draft on Saturday????) I'm serious.
You all are invited to come to the party! Juan & Jenn have been to a party at this house before (Lindsey's BDay Bash.) Here's their invite!
I don't think I have to sell this party anymore since it pretty much sells itself. I'm bruised and beat up from people asking me when I am posting the invitation. So here it is! Feel free to add as many people to this event as you please. It is open invitation for everyone. By the time I'm finished, I expect that I will have sent 500+ invites. And since I know many of you will ask, yes. The 50' inflatable waterslide will be back!... (first aid kits not included). And who knows what other tricks we might have up our sleeve this year! For those of you new to this event, I don't want to have to give you the "I told you so" speech, if you decide to go out and get hammered the night before. There will be alcohol (liquor, kegs, etc) and food there, however everyone has been very good with contributing in previous years and we thank you for that. There is a pool and hot tub, so bring swimwear. There are also beer pong events, flip cup, cornhole, and whatever insane games you kids dream up. Plan for a long day if you decide to stay. Last year, the last people left at 9am the following morning.
Based on previous years, we only ask for the following rules:
*No glass in or near the pool
*No ripping lids off of coolers and riding them down the slide
*No jumping off the roof into the pool
*No jumping from trees onto the slide
*No more than 1/2 a bottle of baby oil on the slide
*If you break glass, clean it up
*Tip your bartender!!!
Though we urge you all to take a cab, if you must drive, please don't park on the yellow curb. There is parking available near the school on Bennett.
Note worthy from previous years: There will be several birthdays and anniversaries. Congrats to Mandy and Roger who met at Labor Day Party #1 and are now engaged! Congrats to Sean and Lindsey who met at Labor Day Party #3! There will be a separate evite for people who's facebooks I don't have, unless one of you add them. If you plan on coming, PLEASE RSVP so we can keep an accurate headcount and supply food and booze accordingly.

And no, the first UCF game is on Saturday so we can't have it on that day.
Yes, I was one of the people that left the following morning at 9am.
It's a 7pm game, can't we draft around 10 or 11am?

Sully, the draft starts at 11 and will be done by 3. That gives you plenty of time to drink. Especially if you are planning on going until 9:00 the next day. That is still 18 hours of partying, not including any drinking done at the draft.
My kids have football games on Saturday and I have already moved another fantasy draft to accommodate this one.
If past events are of any indication, the draft will not be over at 3.

Maybe we can get the "waxer" to come to the draft. That way we will have something to do between picks. Happy endings extra of course

I know everybody's busy but I wanted to know if it's possible to move the date. I didn't get to the party til 6 or 7ish last year. We've never done a 4 hour draft. It never starts on time, people not in the room take 5 minutes to pick, etc.

Won't be able to make it either. I have a "Mock Draft" scheduled for that sunday, can't miss it.
I had to react that way because you posted a term paper with rules about a party that none of us have ever been interested in year after year.
And it's fine if you want to invite people to a party, but when you make it a priority over the event that we have once a year, it comes off as, you know "dickish."
Most of us look forward to Draft Day, it's not a chore to be sped up or moved around someone's party schedule.
And by the way, Rich would be much better off yelling out "Eli" than he would "Cutler."
This epic Labor Day party happens once a year also.

The draft also happens to fall on Lindsey's & my 1 year anniversary of meeting. Think she wants to spend half the day alone? I told her we have the draft that day & that didn't go over too well.
I asked if moving the draft was possible. I didn't know the UCF game was on Saturday. I can't believe you get pissed by somebody asking a question. Do you get mad at the server asking "What would you like to drink?" Do you answer for all of the world, too?
I enthusiastically invited all of the Kais to a party that is also celebrating Lindsey's & my 1 year together (maybe you would have seen that if you read the whole invite) & had a ton of fun at last year knowing that all of you'd have a great time too. No one is making you do anything? It's not a military draft, it's a fantasy football draft. Everyone is responsible for their own priorities in life.
That's the only weekend we can do the draft, you know that. No one wants to draft a team with preseason games still being played, especially this year.
Saturday is the UCF game which many people already have tickets to, so that's not going to happen either. Sunday or Monday are the only possible choices, and not everyone gets Monday off. So you see how the options are limited.
We've been over this year after year, that's why I was sarcastic to the request to move the draft yet again.
This is the date that makes the most sense for the largest number of people.
I have no problem at all with you inviting me or anyone to a party, but the way you did it came off like we should all revolve around what you have going on. Make sense?
