Just saw on ESPN where Jayson Williams is going to be sentenced today in the shooting of His Limo Driver. Didn't that happen a decade ago? That is amazing it takes nearly a decade for him to get sentenced?????? On CSI Miami it always seems like they get booked and sentenced in a week.
Also, I am curious as to the Dojo's stance on the power of marketing vs. Bandwagon?
Last week I visited Disney and a trip to Daytona and noticed an exorbiarant amount of Saints paraphanalia each place I went. I could not help to notice that Saints T-Shirts, Sweatshirts, and Hats were being worn by an extraordinary large amount of fans. Usually, at these places you see Yankees, Red Sox, and a few Patriot and Giants garb and a few random teams thrown in for good measure. At Disney I can always spot the Green Bay or Wisconsin fan but usually not more than a few. Yankees and Red Sox clothing dominates regardless of the season.
Anyway, last week I noticed that Saints garb outnumbered Yanks and Red Sox combined at least 4-1. I can't recall noticing this phenomanan ever before. I understand they just won the superbowl.
But my question to the Dojo is: Do you think these are Fans whom got swept up in the Saints excitement or are there a large amount of Saints Nation out there? Or did the NFL do a great job of marketing and got even the slightest fan to purchase some garb?
Before the Superbowl I have only met one Saints Fan in my entire life........and you really can't consider him a true die hard because the Saints are his B-Team favorite. That fan is Former Cheddarhead Revival Champion Seth whom I can't really remember why but always rooted for the Saints but had a clear #1 allegiance to the Pats. Thus, I'm not sure you can consider him one....but for the sake of this conversation I will award him that title.
Back to the original argument. Is this a normal phenomanan for the Champs Gear to explode on the scene? I know after the Sox first World Series Run everywhere you wen you saw the T-Shirts.......but there was still a good representation before that. Should we expect young legions of Saints fans because they just won the Super Bowl?
Just some Quick hits to spark your Tuesday Morning?
Also, Doesn't Sully have any great pics to post from Juans Bachelor party.....maybe something to set off another firestorm??????

I think that the primary reason for this is because of the pride factor. They probably were always Saints fans but never had anything to gloat or brag about. Now that they won, they can wear their team's colors with pride.
I've heard, from John in Destin, that there are a lot of Saint's fans in the Panhandle.
On a side note, Disney does have a lot of international tourists. Meritza's parents are diehard Red Sox fans because they visit us and bought the clothing. But when we went to New york they also bought Yankee gear. Meritza's dad was wearing his Red Sox jacket in NYC and people started talking trash to him.
I totally agree with Regs. It's like a big gay New Orleans Mardi Gras coming out party for those fans.
They can finally wear their teams merch with pride.
Plus there are the usual bandwagon bunch, but I don't think any more than usual.
And Scott, you better explain the rules to your pop n'law, we don't want an international incident. That's on you man, that's on you!!
To answer one of your questions, I can't post any pics from Juan's bachelor party b/c I wasnt there. Koko, you want to do the honors?
