TAKE OFF THE JACKET!!?? REALLY???

Posted by Koko

So I knew that this damn day would come and I've struggled with the choice of putting this abomination on our sacred Dojo or not. I've chosen to do so because everyone must see just how much of a total disgrace this film will be.

"Put on the jacket, take off the jacket." ARE THEY FUCKING KIDDING ME!!
How about, "SUCK MY DICK, KISS MY ASS!" Show me that move ya little fuck is what you are!

Pat Morita is doing crane kicks in his grave right now, and that's gotta be fucking uncomforable.

They even have the big brass juevos to make fun of the fly catching scene and play "You're the best," in the background. HOLY SHIT! I CAN FEEL A THEATER ARSON COMING ON!

Oh and by the way, IT'S CALLED THE KARATE KID, NOT THE KUNG FU KID, YOU ASS CLOWNS!!!

I say we get Zabka and Maccio and we get Sensai Kreese and we all go down to Mr. Miyagi's grave on opening night and throw a big F-U bon fire in our Cobra Kai uniforms, playing soccer with boom boxes, racing dirt bikes and classic detroit cars, and we get Bananarama and Joe Esposito, we put on concert while we all sing along and crane kick the everliving shit out of a kidnapped Jackie Chan! Right in his little Chinese nuts.

Now watch this to get the bad taste out of your system.

The Greatest….

Posted by Keith G.

Muhammad Ali once said “I just figured if I said it enough I could convince the world that I am the Greatest.”

Well, the jury is still out on if this is the greatest Cobra Kai team ever assembled but I believe we displayed one of our finest offensive games ever this past Friday night against the helpless PHI.

The game started surispetiously as usual Red Bug Lake juggernaut the PHI jumped out to a 4-0 lead to start the game. It seemed like it would be an uphill battle against this usual powerhouse.

With our Pack leader safely back in the dugout recovering from an undisclosed injury Sprague’s gathered the team before our first at bat and urged us to give him at least 4 runs…..and then he turned and said…..there is one thing I need you guys to do for me tonight……..”Win, Cobra Kai, Win!” Then Johnny Blaze screamed….Well what are we waiting for….Takus! And it was like the montage music cranked up and the team was in the zone and would not be stopped from that moment on.

The first couple hitters did the usual dirty work and found their way on base setting the table for the Swami to unleash his deadly Sidewinder swing followed up by Brett Favre’s cannon and the PHI were running for their life from then on. This proved to be the deadliest line-up ever to take the field as we batted through the line-up twice to start the game. Yes, I know the team accomplished this a few other times during the season but not against a tested team like the PHI. “I knew this line-up was deadly but I didn’t know we were going to unleash that type of deadly fury on a team like the PHI” The Swami said after the game.

Everybody contributed to the offensive explosion as DonJuan continued to raise his league leading OBP% to .992 knocking in Capt. Tucci 3 times. Koko was wearing his Iceman Underoos as he attacked the Left fielder relentlessly until he injured him and sent him into hiding for the rest of the game. The PHI were so baffled they changed pitchers 3 times throughout the game as each new pitcher had no answer for our heated bats. They even threw in the towel on trying to pitch Brett Favre and started handing out free passes rather than get destroyed with bombs.

We played our usual bend but don’t break defense behind a solid Pitching performance from the Mad Dog. The Infield held the line for the Kai on this night eating up everything hit their way and even turning a couple crucial Double plays to kill any rallies the PHI tried to piece together. JohnnyBlaze was back in his sweet spot at third eating everything up hit his way and there was no way we were going to let the PHI gather any life offensively to climb back into it.

The final score was 26-15 but that was only after we went into our prevent defense and allowed the PHI to chip away but not come close as every at-bat we just kept smashing the ball until the UMPS called Mercy in the 4th inning.

After the game the Kai had plenty to celebrate as they had Spragues back and were celebrating the pending nuptials of the DonJuan himself. The team takes the field again this Friday night in a double header and will be off the following week to help support the DonJuan as he enters into the brotherhood of Marriage.

See you under the Friday Night Lights as Big Daddy Richard Gutierrez plans to attend this momentous game.

Famous words from George Carlin

Posted by Double S

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers,
wider Freeways, but narrower viewpoints.
We spend more, but have less,
we buy more, but enjoy less.
We have bigger houses and smaller families,
more conveniences, but less time.
We have more degrees but less sense,
more knowledge, but less judgment,
more experts, yet more problems,
more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much,
spend too recklessly, laugh too little,
drive too fast, get too angry,
stay up too late, get up too tired,
read too little, watch TV too much.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values.
We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years.
We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor.
We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things.

We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less.
We plan more, but accomplish less.
We've learned to rush, but not to wait.
We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships.
These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes.
These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill.
It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom.
A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete...

Remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.

Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.

Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.

Remember, to say, "I love you" to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.

Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.

Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

Tuesday Morning Quick Hits

Posted by Keith G.

Just saw on ESPN where Jayson Williams is going to be sentenced today in the shooting of His Limo Driver. Didn't that happen a decade ago? That is amazing it takes nearly a decade for him to get sentenced?????? On CSI Miami it always seems like they get booked and sentenced in a week.

Also, I am curious as to the Dojo's stance on the power of marketing vs. Bandwagon?

Last week I visited Disney and a trip to Daytona and noticed an exorbiarant amount of Saints paraphanalia each place I went. I could not help to notice that Saints T-Shirts, Sweatshirts, and Hats were being worn by an extraordinary large amount of fans. Usually, at these places you see Yankees, Red Sox, and a few Patriot and Giants garb and a few random teams thrown in for good measure. At Disney I can always spot the Green Bay or Wisconsin fan but usually not more than a few. Yankees and Red Sox clothing dominates regardless of the season.

Anyway, last week I noticed that Saints garb outnumbered Yanks and Red Sox combined at least 4-1. I can't recall noticing this phenomanan ever before. I understand they just won the superbowl.

But my question to the Dojo is: Do you think these are Fans whom got swept up in the Saints excitement or are there a large amount of Saints Nation out there? Or did the NFL do a great job of marketing and got even the slightest fan to purchase some garb?

Before the Superbowl I have only met one Saints Fan in my entire life........and you really can't consider him a true die hard because the Saints are his B-Team favorite. That fan is Former Cheddarhead Revival Champion Seth whom I can't really remember why but always rooted for the Saints but had a clear #1 allegiance to the Pats. Thus, I'm not sure you can consider him one....but for the sake of this conversation I will award him that title.

Back to the original argument. Is this a normal phenomanan for the Champs Gear to explode on the scene? I know after the Sox first World Series Run everywhere you wen you saw the T-Shirts.......but there was still a good representation before that. Should we expect young legions of Saints fans because they just won the Super Bowl?

Just some Quick hits to spark your Tuesday Morning?

Also, Doesn't Sully have any great pics to post from Juans Bachelor party.....maybe something to set off another firestorm??????

New Sidebar Feature

Posted by Koko

I added a new sidebar feature to the homepage today because I got bored.
As you can see on the right side of the screen there's a new "DVD/BluRay Pick" box. I'll be putting up a new release selection with a "Buy" or "Rent" suggestion. Sometimes it will be a brand new release and sometimes a classic that was just released on BluRay, ie The Running Man.

Clicking on the box will take you to the Amazon page to purchase.

No Amazon is not paying me, but they should.

Saints Win.....but who else?

Posted by Keith G.

Wow....what a Superbowl. Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Tucci for an Awesome Party!

It was an exciting game right up until the end. Unfortunately, for some of us Reggie Bush never came through on our Prop Bet at 10-1 but oh well, neither did Koko's guaranteed lock of Peyton Manning at a paltry 1-1.

Is the SuperBowl more about the event or the Football? Personally, I think it is turning into the event. At kickoff there were about 34 people gathered around the big screen eagerly watching the game. There was a point during close to the entire 3rd Quarter I think there were 5 still watching....and it was a good game. Not saying anything just making an interesting observation. Personally, I don't think my wife still knows who won the game........or who was in it...but she had a blast none the less.

I also find it very ironic that all week we were spoon fed how Peyton Manning is the greates QB of all time. The Greatest game manager. He never makes mistakes. He knows how to pick apart defenses....and ultimately it was his mistakes and inability to pick apart the Saints that was their demise.

It is also interesting to note the way CBS ran the programming. It was almost like they went at it very Business like as we all heard so many comparisons to Peyton Mannings work ethic as "Buisiness Like". But they really seemed to reach for the older demographic and the "Murder She Wrote" Crowd rather than American Idol crowd. It was an interesting contrast to Fox's Ryan Seacrest celebrity party driven broadcast of the Super bowl a few years ago. Personally, I think CBS wanted a business like program that actually shunned Vegas.

Winners and Losers

Speaking of Vegas.....let's compare some popular prop bets CBS heavily influenced that mayu have gone the other way if Fox aired it.

-Shots of Archie Manning? (I picked 17) I think we tallied 1?
-Shots of Kim Khardesian? (I think we tallied 0 on this one....which is stunning)
-Will a member of the WHO smash a guitar? (No)...Cmon that is their signature move????
-Whom will the MVP thank first?......Drew Brees slyly answered that question by referencing all the candidates but never actually thakning one?????

Super Bowl Ads

Personally, I enjoyed the Snickers Ad with Betty White and Abe Bogada. Good One.
I also for some reason like the google ad, the Little Kiss Ad and the Eco Police one.

Other than than not very memorable ads this year....pretty weak. Plus, the second highest anticipated ad in years the Boost Shuffle I thought was atrocious.....I even went to their site and it is worse.

Also, I kind of enjoyed the Tebow ad and it is funny how it was so NON offensive to anyone but it created so much hype....brilliant move. How can anyone complain about a Son enjoying his Mom's company. Now, Yes I'm sure if you go their website it has a more political appeal...but the ad in and of itself was so harmless.

Just a few of my thoughts......Interested to hear the Dojo's reactions.

I can't find the exact pic.....maybe our resident Tech guru and movie specialist is back from his honeymoon......but it is the blue and white shirt the 40 year old virgin puts on after his waxing....

Did anybody see Mike Golic on ESPN reporting live from Miami today wearing the exact same Blue and White Shirt......less the blood stains from the waxing?????
