So how did McReger Jr. do with the first round of the 2012 Draft?
First of all, much props to Reger for even attempting this, with the new rookie wage scale it's going to be very hard to accurately predict this thing since trades will be flying with much more frequency. But it's still a lot of fun trying and I hope Reger will continue the predictions next year as well.
Reger got 4 out of the 30 first picks correct. And that of course excludes the first 2 picks which were the free space on the Bingo Card.
Credit for a correct pick was also given if the player went in the predicted spot but to a different team or if they went in a different spot but to the predicted team.
Now let's take a look at the 2008 and 2009 Sleeper/Busts lists and find out if an NFL team really should be calling in GM Reger for an interview.
2008

I'm not even close to an expert at grading
offensive and defensive linemen from around the league, so I'll leave that to
some more informed members of The Dojo, but the obvious kudos for Reger are
Forte, Nelson and Bennett on his sleeper list. Felix Jones started out
promising but might end up a bust. Early Doucet showed some life last
season but he's got a long way to go.
The only glaring mistake on the Bust list was
Joe Flacco, who may not be an elite QB just yet but there's no way you can
consider him a bust.

Oh man, not sure if Reger gave The
Cheddarheads any grief about Knoshown Moreno during fantasy last year, but if
he did, Keith should be preparing a lawsuit. The only offensive player on
this sleeper list that might come to fruition is Javon Ringer.
As for the Busts, Freeman had a bad season
last year but most would agree that he is not a bust and will end up being a
good QB in the long run, but yes the final decision on him is not quite in yet.
Heyward Bey finally showed up last season with Carson Palmer at the helm
but with all the hype around him during that draft, he could definitely be
considered a Bust as of right now. Same goes for Massaquoi, he didn't
have all the hype but he has the physical tools to be much better than he is.
But uh oh, Hakeem Nicks a Bust?! Whoopsie! Yeah, not
much else to say about that one except WROOOOONG!
Next year we'll review 2010 and 2011's lists. But so far
Reger's got a gem with Demarco Murray on his 2011 Sleeper list. But also
a possible faux pas with Andy Dalton on the Bust list. We shall see!
Keep up the good work Reger.
