Depends on what kind of noise the kids are making. A sound here and there is ok but if they are acting like little, retarded, monsters who's parents have no control over them......then yea, thats a problem.
Great Job Regs! However...You Just Violated a Rule....I thought you were on a crusade to follow rules?
1st Rule of Lombardi's Party..........THERE ARE NO OTHER LEAGUES! Please don't compare Lombardi's Party to other leagues..cuz they cant compare. And...I for one love the competitiveness that forces some people to actually get up early to make an additon to their team.....and usually some risky addition but it needs to be done to have a shot at winning.
I have been sitting on the #1 waiver all year......don't know but I just can't pull the trigger cuz the #1 waiver wire seems so valuable in our league.
2.) Corporations don't care too much about travel cuz usually it is a sunk cost they have built in to their budgets and if they don't use it..they lose it....plus it is a tax write off.
3.) I think the next great TV show is one where someone like you takes this Rant to the street with a camera. You walk around and confront idiots after they do something wrong/stupid. Then...you continue to ask them whey they think they are above the law??? Just keep berating them..till they crack.
It would be pure comedy to see people so vigilantly defending themselves for stuff they did that was clearly wrong and caught on tape......it would be waaaaay better than "COPS". Let's get it up and going....
Keith, I realize the first rule, that is why I took it to the dojo and not the LP site. I was looking for opinions. I have a trade offer for you. You give me your waiver priority and I will give you my 8th round pick next year? Let me know.
Goat, we always try to be respectful to people around us, but I have 5 kids between 1 and 11. They make noise and the baby sometimes yells. That is why we eat early and always go to family oriented restaurants. My parents wanted to take us out to dinner last week to celebrate my daughter taking 3rd in the state (plug) in gymnastics. This couple next to us kept staring and giving dirty looks. There were many other families there with young children. My take is that if you want a private quiet dinner, don't go to a place that caters to children or accept what you get.
Nice rant Reger, very entertaining. But what other way besides the waiver wire would you have it? The only other option is a "free for all" when the players unlock early Wed morning.
I like how you say you've never seen a league use the standard waiver wire, which by the way is the system 99% of leagues use, and then come up with something that's completely convoluted and impossible to apply.

Do you think its ok for kids to be making excessive noise during a movie?
no. a movie is meant to be seen in silence.
For waivers I suggest a bidding system where everyone has x amount of money to spend for the year. on Wednesday, waivers are awarded
Who does waivers like that?
