In honor of the game this weekend, I have put together my four favorite plays in the history of the Packer / Bears Rivalry. While it was tough to whittle it down to just four plays, I think I've captured the essence of the oldest rivalry in professional football.
Highlight #1
A young Brett Favre was just starting to figure out what it took to be a leader and a legend when he realized, sometimes you don't even need to complete a pass to beat your biggest rival. This Monday Night classic featured wind gusts up to 40 MPH and a driving rain. (Skip ahead to the 3:10 mark of the video).

Highlight #2
This next clip comes to us from a time when the Bears dominated the rivalry and the Packers were left to resort to "alternative" tactics. In many cases, while we lost the war, we did manage to win some battles. Such is the case with this one. While Charles Martin may have only taken out one player on his "Hit List" towel before getting kicked out of the game, I think it was worth it!! This one might honestly be my favorite!!
November 23, 1986 - Packers vs. Bears - Soldier Field
(Make sure to make it to the 1:40 mark to see in real-time) (also, the Ken Stills clip (2nd one down on the right) is pretty awesome too!)

Highlight #3
The most recent of our Bears Suck! clips. Are you like me? Are you tired of people saying Aaron Rodgers can't win close games? Tired of people bringing up his record in games decided by 4 points of less?!? I know I am! It's a stupid stat for two reasons, 1) In most cases Aaron led the Pack into the lead only to have the defense then blow the game and 2) as this clip shows, sometimes a game can be close even if it is decided by more than four points. I almost forgot this game even happened!
September 13, 2009 - Packers vs. Bears - Lambeau Field

Highlight #4
Our final clip is from a time when The Rivalry was in one of it's "hammer and nail" phases. (i.e. the hammer and the nail don't really have a rivalry because the hammer always wins). The Bears had won eight straight against the Packers and 10 of the last 11. Ditka, Singletary, McMahon, Payton, Harbaugh, Tomczak, Anderson, Dent, McMichaels, these names had become symbols of the hatred Packer fans had for the bears. It was a dark time for Packer fans and nothing short of a little Majik could bring us into victory's light!
Without further ado, I give you:

I will read this & check the links hopefully this afternoon. All I have to say is CHEAP SHOTS on Martin & Stills. Those guys SUCK!!!!! Can't believe you're happy they did that. That is like the Albert Haynesworth stepping on Andre Google-whatever's face a couple years ago. Disgraceful!
After further review, I still hate the Fudge Packers!
Oh congrats too. Booooooooo!
