I thought this shit was pretty funny! Enjoy!
It appears that the seminole county softball league counts Halloween as a holiday so no game this week.
OK Guys, We won 2 games in a row and if we could pull out the victory Friday night under the lights that would officially be a WINNING Streak. IT HAS happened before. No more excuses to give, Not a Leg thing, a spiritual thing, psychological thing, or a heart attack thing, we showed up Friday Night to prove to the league just exactly who we were.
Well, we wasted no time jumping out on the unsuspecting Bull Market squad as the team had momentum in our favor and we were eager to showcase our new line-up and hot hitting team. For the first time in our history we batted all the way through the line-up and everybody got on base in the first inning as we were absolutely En Fuego as our Spanish speaking friends like to say. We posted a 7-0 lead to start the game.
This proved to be enough for our newly improved defensive line-up. Mad Dog took the mound and used his usually veteran savvy skills to baffle the Bull Market offense and make them look more like a Bear Market team. Bid Daddy Gutierrez stitched up his patient in surgery earlier that evening as quick as possible as he knew the team needed him back behind the diamond as he is an integral piece in Mad Dog’s pitching success. “I had another surgery planned later that night, but told the patient he could wait till the morning as I had a prior commitment to my team that I couldn’t break” said Doc Gutierrez after the game. Koko had another solid game commanding 2nd Base like a veteran as he adapts to the new position. Roundhouse Reger had a stellar game protecting the 3rd base line fielding everything hit his way and nailing down unsuspecting Bull Market hitters with frozen rope throws killing any hopes of a rally.
Captain Tucci was back commanding the outfield and the team felt complete again and the OF was solid back under his command. The defense was solid and the difference was that we never allowed Bull Market to get a rally going under the Captain’s steady hand. I've come to the conclusion that the two most important things in life are good friends and a good fielding” said Mikey Lemieux who had a solid day patrolling LF and shutting down the Bulls all night.
Our bats were hitting all night as everyone contributed greatly and we had a total team effort posting 14 runs. Johnny Blaze even showcased his wheels by stealing a base and then promptly scoring on the next hit. JW’s new Tomahawk chop is proving to be effective as his swing is coming into its own.” We won in commanding fashion to round into a tie for 3rd place.
The Lady Kai’s were back in force cheering on the team and willing us to victory from the get go. And of course we headed to Gators in record numbers and once again managed to squeak out a new league record of 89 pitchers Friday night.
The Team is heading to
Here are the top 12 Vegas movies in no particular order. What's your vote for the best Vegas movie ever?
Leaving Las Vegas (1992)
Bugsy (1991)

The film about the man that started it all, Bugsy Siegel. How could this not be in the list, it's how Vegas became Vegas.
Ocean's Eleven (2001)

In my opinion, the best "heist" movie ever. It surpassed the original film by leaps and bounds. The heart of this movie is the seamless chemistry between the film's high-powered Hollywood cast.
Casino (1995)

This is pretty much Goodfellas in Vegas. And Frank Vincent gets his revenge on Pesci.
Swingers (1996)
Rain Man (1988)

Unbelievable film. The Vegas portion is where you'll find all the signature scenes. This movie not only educated millions of people about Autism, but also card counting.
Vegas Vacation (1997)

Hands down the funniest Vegas movie ever. And as silly as some of the games were in the "dirt casino" scene, such as "guess which hand," and "pick a number," the game "War" has actually made its way into mainstream casinos.
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998)

I've actually never seen this movie. I know I should be beaten for that. But on its reputation alone I had to include it.
The Godfather Part II (1974)

The greatest sequel of all time. I personally think it's better than the original. It was also the only sequel to ever win the Oscar for "Best Picture," until those damn hobbit movies came along.
Fools Rush In

Definitely a chick flick, but also a very funny movie with good writing. The main reason it's on the list is because it easily has the best Vegas sountrack ever.
Jay Glazer of "Fox NFL Sunday" reported of Favre's phone call to the Packers' NFC North Division rival today on the Fox pre-game show.
"Favre called the Detroit Lions, starting off with (former Detroit general manager) Matt Millen," Glazer said. "Matt Millen then put him in touch with the coaching staff and gave the coaching staff like an hour or a 90-minute dissertation, every single thing that the Green Bay Packers do on offense. It's his former team. He's calling a division opponent of a team he has nothing to do with any more and just let's loose all the family secrets. How about that?"
Here is the link to the story Glazer later posted
A new furious edition of "Blaze Is Burning" has been posted for your reading pleasure.

No Word Yet on How Jessica has responded to the Busted Pinkie.
I can't believe this makes ESPN headlines but I guess it is Newsworthy. Let me get this straight: ESPN reports Favre told them that he called Romo after the injury. The local hacks in Green Bay then go ask Rodgers if Brett called him and if he was put off that he didn't. Wow, this is front page stuff here. After answering "No," they asked Rodgers if he was upset about it? Again, "No."
Okay Then.......We now Return you to your regularly scheduled Programming.
AKA.....Just another example to post a great pic of Jessica Simpson.......
In light of the recent Adam "pacman" Jones incident, I have been wondering what I would do as the commissioner of the NFL. So I have just got two stories that I would like the rest of y'all to throw your two cents in on.
1. Pac Man Jones hotel fight.
Do you think that the league minimum suspension was enough? What steps would you take?
2. Michael Vick reinstatement after his jail time.
Would you allow Michael Vick back into the league?
Should he be handed a suspension from the NFL after his jail time?

The Soldier will Not Be going into Battle Tonight
These Doctors Portray Winslow's Condition.
Well, this story about Kellen Winslow's undisclosed illness Makes me feel just a bit better about my weekend. First, our Softball game was canceled, then My Fantasy Team just proved to me that they are putrid and I was stupid to even think they could put up a fight and try to break the 50 point barrier. After consulting with Juan Friday night I decided to bench my TE because I figured there was no way he could play Tonight if on Friday his balls swelled up to the size of grapefruits. I would not wish this on my worst enemy but it happened and I thought it was an interesting read and one that will make you appreciate your day back to work.
Anyways, I am officially admitting my Fantasy team blows and I apologize to anybody that I own a prominent player from one of their favorite teams. Every one of my players has either become injured or played horribly and not only letting me down but their real life team as well. Just another reason why I don't like drafting Packers.
Enjoy your Monday, hopefully healthy and Nut Swellling Free. And if any of our medical professionals readers can give us an explanation on why your nuts would swell so greatly and what we could do to avoid ever being put in this position it would be greatly appreciated. As my Good friend Joe used to say "Cause Knowing Is HALF the Battle"!!!!!
Of course the whole thing is great, but if you want to hear some more genius prognosticating from the greatest comedic mind of all time, go to 44:30 into this video.
No matter how good or bad the current cast of SNL may be at the time, the one thing you could always count on from them is the very best in political humor. The current show members are no exception. In fact these are some of the best political sketches to come from SNL since the days of Will Ferrell's George W. Bush.
Juan's Main Man Kimbo Slice Get's Knocked the F*c* Out!
I know most of you have seen this but It is a great re-watch and just in case you missed it. Our favorite Elite XC fighter Kimbo Slice straight from the mean streets of Miami got taken out in 14 seconds Saturday night by a nobody Pink Haired fighter from Orlando. I think I have seen Seth Petruzelli walking the streets of Church Street station before??? Anyways, this guy shows up to the arena fightnight and finds out the main event between Kimbo and Ken Shamrock has been derailed because of an injury to Shamrock.....Well, much like Rocky Balboa Seth gets his "Opportunity" to step in and he certainly relished the "Rocky" like shot.
The best part is here is a pic of Kimbo's 30 year old son crying after his Dad got his ass beat.
Anyways, the other point of this post is that another "overhyped" street thug from Miami is taking on another "Underdog" from Orlando this weekend as UCF travels to Miami to take on the Canes. Could this be a rivalry in the Making?
Also, does UCF have what it takes to upset the U with all their injuries on Defense?? We will see Saturday? I want to see everybody's predictions and how they stand in the UCF V the U showdown and where their allegiances lie.

I have written about the power of chemistry and momentum before and it has never been more evident than in our last 2 games. However, above these two forces “will” also plays a very strong role in the game. Well, for a 2nd straight game we were missing some bodies but most off all we were missing our Captain and team leader Capt. Tucci but he was there in spirit and on all of our minds. JW and Big Daddy Guttirez were called out of town so we were missing some more integral pieces to the team and were not even sure we would have a full squad just before Blue yelled “Play Ball” in our highly anticipated showdown with former teammates Habanero’s grill.
However, sometimes in the bleakest of times inspiration comes from unusual circumstances. Roundhouse Reger was battling a shoulder injury and a trip to the team doctor just before game time and was not even sure he would be cleared to play. “ I told Doc, there is no way you are not clearing me tonight. I’m playing and that’s final, my team needs me and I will be there.” It is still unclear if Reger was cleared but he left the Doc’s office and hurried to the field ready to play. However, Roundhouse didn’t make it to the field until the 2nd inning but an unknown angel emerged from the cornfields and took his spot until he arrived. I don’t know whom that angel was, but the Team thanks him for his contributions as he disappeared back into the night after Reger arrived. Speaking of Cheddarheads, the team also was graced with a new addition as a fellow Wisconsinite roamed the fields and filled in valiantly on a last minute call up. I got the call and broke out the cleats and did whatever I could to help the famous Cobra Kai’s, I had read about them before and it was an honor to take the field with them” said Jeff Garcia after the game.
With all these changes, everybody was forced out of their comfort zone and the team had to make adjustments on the fly. The most telling moment of the night came in the dugout before the game. As the team struggled to finalize positions Koko walked into to the dugout and said “I want 2nd, that is where the team needs me the most, and that’s where I want to be.” It’s one of those moments in life I will not soon forget. It was like there was a cloud hanging over us, and the moment Koko said that, the Rocky Music was cued and it all came together. Koko’s play at 2nd base proved to be crucial in our win as he made several clutch plays including a huge tag out of Xavy trying to get an extra base that could have cost us the game had he made it.
The Kai’s jumped out to an early lead as our bats were hitting early and often as we just knew we had to make our Captain proud and we were willing to do anything in our power to “will” us to victory and win one for the gipper one more time. Lemieux sparked the team once again leading the way from the top all the way to the bottom of the order everyone pitched in and we had a great all around effort offensively. DonJuan contributed once again to his league leading .991 OBPS% and had some huge defensive plays in Right field which the Habaneros were gunning for all night.
Mad Dog pitched a gem as he used his veteran savvy pitching skills to confuse and befuddle his former teammates in only the way the Mad Dog can. “I felt confident in our fielding tonight, and knew if I could jam a few guys or force them outside that the 9 guys behind me would do the rest” said Mad Dog in his first ever post game press conference appearance. Johnny Blaze held the reigns behind Mad Dog directing our fielders into position and holding down the keys defensively as he used his instincts to lead the team in holding the hot hitting Habenero’s to 8 runs.
The game was a close one and it came down to the 9th inning. With the Kai’s up 9-7 and one out, Johnny came Blazing to the OF and Lemieux was barreling in from LF and both were fixed on sealing the game by snagging a huge out from Habenero’s hottest hitter but ended up colliding like two freight trains. Lemieux took a shot to the head and although he couldn’t see straight he finished out the game. “I just knew I had to stay in there to make Captain proud, and nothing was going to stop me” Mikey said. “I asked him if he could see straight and Mikey told me he saw three of me, I just told him if they hit it his way just catch the ball in the middle and we’ll be fine, I’ll do the rest” JohnnyBlaze said after the game.
That is exactly what we did, as the next play we hunkered down and got the third and final out to close out a crazy and hectic last couple of weeks with a 9-8 victory. In the spirit of the game and in a show of how much Capt Tucci has touched so many people’s lives both teams gathered at the mound after the game and said a prayer and had a shout out to Neil and his family. This was a big victory for the team, but it was all for our emotional leader Neil. In life they say it’s the little things that count, and we hope this one small victory helped put a smile back on Captain’s face and can’t wait to greet him with open arms this week. This one was for you Gipper.
Anyone looking for a definite line in the sand between Obama and McCain. Look no further than Stem Cell Research.
Here are the two candidates views on the topic straight from their mouths. McCain would like to continue the same restrictions and handcuffs on scientists and Obama would like to lift the Bush restrictions and give us a real chance at cures for paralysis and other diseases.
McCain always talks about taking care of the veterans. Odd that he would not want to give paralyzed soldiers coming back from a war that he supported the very best chance to someday walk again.
McCain also does not support the "Christopher and Dana Reeve Paralysis Act" which if you want more info on you can go to:
http://www.christopherreeve.org/site/c.ddJFKRNoFiG/b.4442889/k.EC4B/Christopher_and_Dana_Reeve_Paralysis_Act.htm?tr=y&auid=4063876
Stem cells. Stem cell research advocates say it may successfully lead to treatments for many chronic diseases and injuries, saving lives, but opponents argue that using embryos as a source for stem cells destroys human life. What is your position on government regulation and funding of stem cell research?
McCain's Answer:
While I support federal funding for embryonic stem cell research, I believe clear lines should be drawn that reflect a refusal to sacrifice moral values and ethical principles for the sake of scientific progress. Moreover, I believe that recent scientific breakthroughs raise the hope that one day this debate will be rendered academic. I also support funding for other research programs, including amniotic fluid and adult stem cell research which hold much scientific promise and do not involve the use of embryos. I oppose the intentional creation of human embryos for research purposes and I voted to ban the practice of “fetal farming,” making it a federal crime for researchers to use cells or fetal tissue from an embryo created for research purposes
Obama's Answer:
Stem cell research holds the promise of improving our lives in at least three ways—by substituting normal cells for damaged cells to treat diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, spinal cord injury, heart failure and other disorders; by providing scientists with safe and convenient models of disease for drug development; and by helping to understand fundamental aspects of normal development and cell dysfunction. For these reasons, I strongly support expanding research on stem cells. I believe that the restrictions that President Bush has placed on funding of human embryonic stem cell research have handcuffed our scientists and hindered our ability to compete with other nations. As president, I will lift the current administration’s ban on federal funding of research on embryonic stem cell lines created after August 9, 2001 through executive order, and I will ensure that all research on stem cells is conducted ethically and with rigorous oversight. I recognize that some people object to government support of research that requires cells to be harvested from human embryos. However, hundreds of thousands of embryos stored in the U.S. in in-vitro fertilization clinics will not be used for reproductive purposes, and will eventually be destroyed. I believe that it is ethical to use these extra embryos for research that could save lives when they are freely donated for that express purpose. I am also aware that there have been suggestions that human stem cells of various types, derived from sources other than embryos, make the use of embryonic stem cells unnecessary. I don’t agree. While adult stem cells, such as those harvested from blood or bone marrow, are already used for treatment of some diseases, they do not have the versatility of embryonic stem cells and cannot replace them. Recent discoveries indicate that adult skin cells can be reprogrammed to behave like stem cells; these are exciting findings that might in the future lead to an alternate source of highly versatile stem cells. However, embryonic stem cells remain the “gold standard,” and studies of all types of stem cells should continue in parallel for the foreseeable future. Rather than restrict the funding of such research, I favor responsible oversight of it, in accord with recent reports from the National Research Council. Recommendations from the NRC reports are already being followed by institutions that conduct human embryonic stem cell research with funds from a variety of sources. An expanded, federally-supported stem cell research program will encourage talented U.S. scientists to engage in this important new field, will allow more effective oversight, and will signal to other countries our commitment to compete in this exciting area of medical research.

Well, Cobra Kai’s I can’t say enough of how proud you made Cobra Kai nation this past Friday Night. The kai’s played a great game all of you. We can’t expect to win em all but we are definitely in em all, and this one we came through on. Maybe we need a cause to fight for, and Friday night we definitely had one. Our team Captain and inspirational leader was missing and we all felt it. Capt. Tucci needed a reason to smile and nothing was going to stand in our way especially not the Black Sox. He told us he wanted an update after the game and I didn’t want to tell the Captain we didn’t come through for him and his family.
Our team has been battling many things this year especially dropping games in one inning after being ahead the whole game. We had some injuries and were missing our captain but you could just feel it in the dugout before the game we were not going to let this game get away from us. We had to come together as a team, make some changes, and adapt to those changes to have a chance. JW moved to the Infield, Keith moved to the OF, Matt moved to 1st and everybody pitched in any way they could.
Koko took the mound with a heavy heart but not a heavy arm as he pitched a gem of a game and held down the Black sox in the first 4 innings. Our bats woke up early as we jumped out to a 6 run lead to start the game. Mikey stepped up to take the reigns at leadoff position one he is very familiar with. “I just knew I had to do everything in my power to help spark the team tonight and I wasn’t going to let the team or Captain down” said Lemieux after the game. The defense was running on all cylinders lead by our emerging team leader Johnny Blaze at Shortstop. I’m a man of few words, I just try to let my play speak for itself” Blaze said.
Big Daddy Gutierrez had a hell of game guarding home and stepping up at the plate. However, Big Blue was not his Boy on that night. Blue had a vengeance out for Rich and even called him out in a crucial play at third one in which Rich was clearly safe. In the past this unfortunate play of events would have detracted our momentum, but not last Friday. The team banded together and kept playing on and regained our momentum the following inning racking up an 11-4 lead. We moved Gutierrez to 2nd to get him away from Blue who was now even punishing Koko for having Rich behind the plate continuing his bad calls. This proved to be a clutch move as Richard made a game saving out at 2nd base by diving with his hand to force an out in a clutch situation. “Hey, Momma never told me I was pretty, so I don’t try to play pretty I just do what I have to do and the ladies seem to love it….and its effective” Richard said at the post game press conference.
Johnny Blaze was pitted in the clean-up spot and came through time and time again at the plate as Mad Dog and his son made an effective 1-2 punch to get on base. DonJuan managed to increase his league leading OBP to .992% as everybody pitched in at the plate and made damn sure we weren’t going to let this one slip away. In the bottom of the 6th Koko told the dugout, “Get Me 2 more Runs and I will close this game out Mariano Rivera style, guaranteed!.” Well, we got him three and he did just that and we got our first win of the year. It was an impressive win as everybody pitched in and in light of everything that was going on we were able to come together for that night in a common cause to not only win, but give the Captain and his family a reason to smile which sometimes in life can make all the difference in the world. I don’t think I have to say it, but we won one for our Captain and we would do anything in our powers just to see him smile. The Team’s thoughts and prayers are with our leader this week.
