In a follow-up to our drunken debate last night at gators, one that had Richard walking up to every unsuspecting patron at the bar and interrogating them the answer is Capt. Harris.
I love the fact that this stumper had people excited and we had random strangers running up to us all night yelling out an answer when it finally came to them.
Just for the record Koko nailed this one while driving down south via a text message. I'm sure he had no idea behind the request but he still nailed it. Rob was close with his text answer of Mauser. That was the hot debate all night everyone said Harris or Mauser with a few Lassards added in. I don't know how this started but at least it didn't end with JW attempting to throw up on the bar............Good Times!!!!

An astute observation by Prosthetic Johnson as he noted that we may have confused some people because he actually moved up in rank and started as Capt. Harris but then moved to Lt. Harris..........

Good find mr johnson. I new I was not insane. Lt Mauser was in the 2nd and 3rd movie. Harris came back because the actor that played Mauser was injured in real life.

Here it is in case anyone is still confused.
In the first Police Academy, G.W. Bailey the actor, plays Lt. Thaddeus Harris.
Just for reference purposes G.W. Bailey also played the security guard in the 80's movie Mannequin and Skroeder in Short Circuit.
In the 2nd movie Harris was replaced with Lt. Mauser and in the 3rd, Mauser was promoted to Commandant as he tried to form his own Police Academy.
Harris reapeared in the 4th movie now promoted to Captain Harris which he maintained through Police Academy 5,6, and 7.
There were 7????

That is awesome all along everyone was semi-correct. But technically you know we were aiming for Harris name as my memory serves me as him being in every single Police Academy.
The pranks they played on him were the best parts of the movie.
