2011 Reger Sleepers/busts List

The rules are simple. These are the players that I feel will greatly outplay their draft position and players that I think will not live up to their draft position. For example a 1st rounder could potentially be a sleeper if he outplays the guys ahead of him and a guy drafted in the middle could be a bust if he gets cut. FYI- last year’s sleeper list included people like James Starks and Mike Williams.

Sleepers
• Greg Little WR - UNC
• Tandon Doss WR- Indiana
• Jordan Todman- RB- Uconn
• Da Rel Scott- RB- Maryland
• Pat Devlin- QB- Delaware
• Colin Kaepernick- QB- Nevada
• DaQuan Bowers – DE- Clem
• Buster Skrine – CB- Tenn-chat
• Ross Homan- LB- OSU
• Ras I Dowling- CB- VA
• Chimdi Chekwa- CB- OSU
• Colin McCarthy – LB- U
• Demarco Murray- RB- Okie

Busts

• Ryan Williams – RB – VA Tech
• Leonard Hankerson- WR- U
• Andy Dalton- QB - TCU
• Jake Locker- QB- Wash.
• Ryan Kerrigan- DE- Purdue
• Aaron Williams – CB- Tex
• Derek Sherrod – OT- MSU
• Kyle Rudolph- TE- ND
• Justin Houston- LB- Georgia
• Torrey Smith- WR- Mary
• Marcus Cannon- OT-TCU

Ok...How about this?

Posted by Keith G.

Ok....So the Post is Garbage. How about the New York Daily News? And.....they point out the simple fact that is what I have been discussing. It is not beleaguring Jeter's career other than the fact He is in decline and to give Jeter that much money and still play him at SS and Leadoff??

"Time to worry about Jeter?
The way the Yankees are going, hitting home runs at a record pace, you also have to ask another question: Does it matter if Derek Jeter isn't quite Jeter anymore? Jeter has one extra-base hit, a double, in 68 at-bats. Saturday night he had a single in four at-bats to raise his batting average to .221. Those numbers would be shrugged off as early and ugly if he hadn't fallen off to .270 last year, sparking so much debate about whether age was catching up with him. Instead they have to be at least somewhat alarming to the Yankee brass, which reluctantly gave Jeter that three-year, $51 million contract in the winter. Perhaps most worrisome, ground-ball outs are once again a huge issue".

New York Daily News

I mean if local media can actually be objective about this topic why can't you Yankee fans? And...Come on...you are out of mind to tell me you wouldn't rather have the "Hebrew Hammer" Ryan Braun right now...the face of the Brew Crews future on your team?

Huh?

Jeter headed in the wrong direction
With a trend dating back to the beginning of last season, some are now wondering how much longer the rope is for Derek Jeter. This is no longer a small sample size. Jeter has 810 plate appearances in that period; only Rickie Weeks, Ichiro Suzuki and Juan Pierre have more. That means Jeter is batting just about more than anyone in baseball - more than any Yankee since the beginning of last season -- and not producing on-base skills or power. His problems this year mirror last season. There is just no oomph in his bat. He has one extra-base hit in 71 plate appearances this year. He again cannot get the ball in the air with any authority. He has hit 2.93 groundballs this year for every flyball, which is the highest percentage in the majors. He led the majors at 1.96 last year. It is getting worse, not better.

New York Post

The Previous paragraph was direct column from the NY Post. It was not some rhetoric I made up....purely fact based. I am sorry to say Jeter DID have a great run....but time to admit the Yanks need to stop looking at him like they once did. And...is there a problem with the website or has Jeters hit count been the same all week?

Just saying.......SEE YOU GUYS TONIGHT!

Just for Keith.

I know how Keith cannot go a day without a dose of his favorite all-time baseball player Derek Jeter, so I've taken the liberty of providing this outstanding defensive play from last night.

And since you're such a superfan of DJ, I'll keep tabs on all of his hightlights on his way to the historic 3,000 which I know you would not miss for all the cheese in Green Bay.
