Has anyone ever considered the fact that maybe, the exact same gene/trait that made Tiger the best golfer ever, is the same gene/trait that led him to cheat on his wife?
The exact same gene/trait that has allowed some former "nanny" to live a complete lap of luxury life is the same gene/trait that is hurting her right now.
Now before everyone jumps down my throat, let me state, for the record, that I think Tiger's behavior is disgusting and deplorable. I don't support it at all.
However, Tiger posseses something that neither myself or anyone else on this blog possesses, an extreme, over the top passion to never be satisfied. It is this desire that drives him to never be satisfied, no matter how many tournaments he wins or how much money he makes. He can't help it. He always wants more and up until these allegations came out, this was viewed as part of what makes him so special. This is who he is.
Elin should have known what she was getting herself into. She saw the way he was. Most people would be completely satisfied to get paid a lot of money to do something we love, while, at the same time, be married to someone that looks like Elin. But that is not Tiger and nobody seems to be able to understand that. Like the song from " The facts of life" profoundly said " you take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and then you have the facts of life".
You can't turn it off like a switch. He will never be satisfied no matter how many tournaments he wins or how much money he makes. He also will never be satisfied no matter how hot his wife is.
Elin needs to either accept that fact, or get the fuck out and take his money, but if she thinks he will stop, she is crazy because that is not how he is wired.

First Off Regs....a Very Profound and well written rant....I didn't see that one coming.....really Great Rant.
I think you hit the Nail right on the head.
However, The only thing I would disagree with you on is your wording of gene and/or trait.
I'v always had a hard time with people saying this guy is an alchoholic/drug addict/cheater/gambler/abusive/criminal.......but it's not his fault he was born with that disease.
Frankly, I don't agree with that fact.....I beleive you make your own traits etc...etc....and you can overcome things like that with the power of discipline.
But that is not the point of this post.
I think most of us know sports and celebrities well enough to know that this is not all that uncommon for a major celebrity to also do what tiger has done......
I beleive it is partially due to what you said but also in the fact that Tiger is always searching for ways to dominate like the Alpha male. He tracked down a hottie for a wife....won her.....and then what???? He had to look for the next competitive thrill to hunt down to win...
As for Elin....You can't say she should have known this cause I'm Sure Tiger did not display cheating characteristics to her....He was on his best behavior trying to win her.
However, She simply has to take the money and leave at this point. If even half the allegations are true there is no way they can sit down for any meal and have her not thinking about it for the rest of their life.......Tiger will be miserable and Elin will be miserable....They have to cut bait and move on.
Yeah, she should definitely move on and Tiger should stop with all the damage control, it's just prolonging this whole thing.
Accept what happened and move on. Once another celebrity fucks up, and they will, the media will move on to them. But if these chicks keep coming out of the woodwork one by one, it becomes like the steroid issue in baseball. Tiger should just come out, do an interview and let it all fly. Fuck it, right a book and make even more money on it. He'll end up coming off more human and poplular than ever.
Also, I do buy that a lot of addictions are a disease, but not the sex addiction thing. Tiger is just an ultra famous, ultra rich guy with a million options who thought he was untouchable.

I think one of the problems is that none of us really understands what it is like to be like Tiger. To wake up every day as a 9-10 year old at 4 A.M. to hit 1000 golf balls willfully. I know I couldn't. I don't have it in me. Tiger didn't just wake up one day and say "holy shit I can hit a golf ball 340 yards straight." He is completely self made.
I think that Elin knew what he was before she married him and thought that she could change him by getting him married and having kids. I don't know this for a fact. It is just a hunch based upon the attitudes of virtually every female that I have ever met.
They think that they can change what a person is and most of the time they can't.
But he knows what he is and shouldn't of gotten married then. Lets hold people responsible for their own actions. He knows right from wrong, i dont care what time he has to get up to hit golf balls!
Most of the time, people with addictions are the last people to realize it. That is why people have interventions. Everyone "thinks" they have control and can change.

We're not talking about alcohol or drugs, he's just another scumbag guy that cheats on his wife and has been for a long time.
He just happens to be the greatest golfer ever, that doesn't change the fact that he never intended to be faithful. He's been doing this since before his father died.
As you will see in about a month, marriage changes most people. I don't do the same things I used to do when I was single and didn't have kids. I drastically changed my lifestyle to accommodate a new one that I am content with.
I also do not have a addictive personality like I am guessing Tiger does.
I would agree with you if it were 1 person that he was having an affair with, or a couple of one night stands with some whores. But there are at least 11 women out there that were currently dating Tiger in a sexual relationship. 11!!!!! This tells me that he is someone who cannot control his urges or always needs to have more.
I also think that Tiger, at first, thought he could change with a beautiful wife and kids, but realized he couldn't.

He's a greedy person. Period. He's been treated like a messiah his whole life by his father, which probably gave him his winning instinct and confidence, but the side effect is thinking you're bulletproof. Unfortunately for him he has to learn that lesson in front of millions of people. But that comes with the territory.
Way too many excuses are made for people when they do anything wrong nowadays. He did it, he knew what he was doing, he got caught. That's it.
